  1. Very nice to see that the guys are (finally!) included. DH has lots of JC tees from over the years (and a bunch of baseball/long sleeved raglan tees that are like, 10 years old) and for the most part they have held up very well.

  4. Not to be greedy, but I'd LURVE to see a promotion on dresses -- maybe including their fabulous party/bridesmaid dresses for the holidays? Hint, hint...J.Crew? (*cough*withfreeshipping*cough*)

  5. Talbots had 30% off all dresses and free shipping this week. It was a great time to try one I had been eyeing.

The prices on JCrew's dresses are outrageous right now!

I am holding out for hopefully a free shipping no minimum to appear on my account as JCrew has done in the past:) fingers crosed x

  6. Lauren, the Perfect Fit Mixed Tape Cardis are TTS and the quality is good, they are thicker than the perfect fit tees. It is a double layer of grosgrain tape on the pockets and along the placket. The tape does wrinkle a bit, especially if you put these in the dryer.

The dark rosewood is the same as the color online. The bright seaport is quite a bit darker IRL, closer to the nightfall blue. The dried petunia is more of a dusty rose color.

I really like these cardis. Very comfortable and lightweight and the cut is flattering too.

  7. Does anyone have feedback on the starry night cardigan? I don't recall seeing it before. I know, sequins are ubiquitous this season but this one may stand the test of time. TIA

  8. The traversa cardigan has been pulled from the site (grrr) ... but many summertime popbacks in the sale section, including a bunch of Bettina camis!

  10. j crew is playing pricing games again. i was at b and m store yesterday and saw the skinny ultra-lounge pant with the 20% off "tee and knit" promotion but the pants were marked $59.50 while online and in the catalogue they are $49.50 (and, btw, are not on promotion online). i contacted customer service and the rep, while very nice, gave me the run-around. first, that the different prices had to do with how much inventory they had, compared to online. then, when i pointed out they were not on promotion with other tees and knits, she told me it was b/c pants are excluded as opposed to leggings (even though the un-sweat "pant" was included in the promotion). ultimately, nothing came of this. i expected at least that she might get the pricing discrepancy fixed and honor the promotion. oh well. i can't say i'm surprised. customer serice, quality are going down while pricing is going up.

  11. Can anyone comment on quality/fit of the Heathered raglan tee? It looks adorable online, but is it worth $44 (or FP $55?) And does it really have those speckled spots IRL?

  12. saw the heathered raglan, soft but thin. did not try on. i wouldn't have bought it, even at promo price. it's a $20-25 tee, in my opinion.

  13. I bit, ordered the Haya sequin pullover. :-)

  14. I was in there last night and bought the drapey sequin tank in black, a tissue thin turtle neck, 2jackie cardigans, the stripe shirt that said "Revel" in sequins, and the new reindeer tee.

First off, before I grabbed my two Jackie cardigans, I asked a manager if the Jackies were considered to be knit. I was told yes. Although when my total came to be $270, I quickly realized otherwise. Everything else was 20%off, which was nice. So, if you're in the store and think "Jackie is a knit", sadly, they don't count. And boy, I just realized how flippin' expensive they are! For as staple as they are and for how popular they are, it seems silly for a cotton cardigan to price at $62. I digress.

I'm loving the stripe tee and wearing it today with light wash matchstick jeans and red ballet flats. Someone at work told me I looked like a sailor. :)

  15. Any thoughts on the Tissue Silk Drape Tee (32408)? Is it TTS or would a person who normally wears XS need an XXS?

  16. I picked up the sequin drapey tee in dark pewter with this promo. I wrote a mini-review with a photo on my blog, if anyone is interested: click here to read.

  17. I will patiently wait for them to drop lower in price. There's nothing that I have to have now.

  18. No thanks JCrew.....summer's over. Now if you have 20% off for shirts and ties ala Land's End, I will bite.

  19. J.Crew Sueded cotton is amazing; I picked-up a long sleeved crew neck in navy and it's crazy soft; appropriately named Sueded.

Thinking I might grab another one, but the Sueded jersey shawl-collar fleece #95798 in heather elm.

  20. Hey all sorry if others have shared this and that it is slightly OT but my local JCrew B&M is haveing a "secret sale" (which I still don't get the point of) on their Cashmere vnecks and crew neck sweaters, for $99 and they WILL apply student discounts to this, so you can get them for $85... also note they were out of my size so we used the magical red phone and they honored both discounts and still did free shipping (which seems right bc technically its promo not sale, but you never know with them these days).

  21. does anyone know if the haya sequin sweatshirt runs tts...and how is it?thank you, for any information, as i am slightly interested......

  22. mrs.anketell I tried the Haya Sequin sweatshirt (the one that was $135 full price and is $108 online right now) and I felt it was TTS and like the fit of the XS (my usual size) I just couldn't handle that high of a price for a sweatshirt but I LOVED it!

I bit on the promo today and bought the reindeer Tshirt.... even though when i saw it first i thought it looked more like a cow with antlers. After trying on though I just thought it would be a sweet shirt to wear on xmas :)

  23. Stopped by B&M today to pick up the Sherpa hoodie. Was marked down to $39.99 and then rang up at $31.99--guess the 20% promo applied to sale items, too? Very pleasant surprise!

  24. Stopped by this weekend and got the heathered raglan tee in he light color (beige) and the heathered gray tissue turtleneck. DH got a couple striped tees which he looks adoreable in.

  25. For anyone awake and shopping at this hour (1 AM CST), there seems to be a glitch going on where all knits & tees are still 20% off and the 30% of holiday sale + free shipping on $150 code (JCREW) can be applied and is taking 30% off those knits & tees. I, very unfortunately, cannot buy anything right now, otherwise I would take advantage of this awesome technical difficulty! Hope someone else can before it gets fixed!
