"Thanks!" to many of you, including Marietta, who shared with us the latest email from J.Crew this morning.
J.Crew is offering customers 20% off any purchase from Final Sale {no minimum} and free shipping {on $150+} with promo code EXTRA20. This offer expires 2/21/10.
The past few days, the sale section had been updating with quite a number of pop-backs. Of course, by the time I got to the sale pages all I could see were the ghost pages. Ah well! Hopefully some of you got some amazing pieces. :)
Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Are there any sale items you are interested in getting?
Alexis,
ReplyDeleteI find myself buying so much more with the LE free ship no minimum codes. I know I would do the same for JCrew like in the good ole days. I used to place mutiple JC orders then. Nowadays I do that at LE.
I wish the minimums weren't so high at JC.
Thanks for all the great JC posts. I still keep coming back for the occasional piece.
LOL! Genny I *so* know what you mean!!! :) With 20% & free shipping, & the ability to return for free at my local Sears store, it makes purchasing from LE Canvas a lot more attractive. I really miss J.Crew's free ship with no min codes too- those were the days! ;)
ReplyDeleteIf items aren't specifically marked "final sale" on your receipt, can you return them to a B&M?
ReplyDeleteSome of my supposedly final sale items haven't been marked as such, and I'm wondering if I should take a chance or if the items are flagged in the JC system to prevent returns. TIA!
I ordered the textured jersey floral spatter tee and then 2 pairs of skimmers to check out the colors of violet dust and soft terracotta (and to get free shipping). I don't plan to keep both of them (because I know they'll eventually go on sale - unless I fall in love with one of the colors) because I would really like to be able to buy some new items, especially the knit dress and tie dye skirt, if it's not too short.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ordered yet from LE, but I have a feeling I will soon simply b/c so many JCA's love it! :)
mini.magnolia - if it's not marked final sale, you shouldn't have any problem returning it.
ReplyDeletemini.magnolia, I've always been able to return Final Sale items that didn't get marked as such on my receipt.
ReplyDeleteJust got 2 pairs of Cafe Capris (in great colors) for $15.99 each. It's so hard for me to find pants in 00, I couldn't pass these up even though I had to pay the outrageous shipping fee for them. I was surprised to see such normal colors (black, navy, stone, khaki, etc) on FS for so little.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if Lands End items purchased at a Sears store are subject to the Sears policy? i.e. 90 days? or is it like Lands End online i.e. guaranteed.
ReplyDeleteI caved last nite on the Marche satchel, a merino ethereal cardi in the proper size, a black skinny patent belt (love these) and the major score is a pair of the glitter flats in silver. I'm hoping they ship and float their way over here with ease!
ReplyDeleteThanks, A and mathteacher! I have a couple of items I'm questioning, and amazingly the receipts aren't designated as final sale. Not sure how that happened, but I guess I'm lucky!
ReplyDeleteNot an online purchase, but when I went Crewsin' yesterday at my B&M, I spied what I believed to be an Heirloom Flora necklace amd a small amt. of marked-down jewelry. But it had no price on it, and the line was long (and I had to get back to work, LOL) ... I checked back twice before leaving the mall and the line was still long, so I walked away.
ReplyDeleteWell don't you know, it drove me bonkers for hours (into the night!) wondering if it might have been marked down to almost nothing -- what if it was $19.99 and I had left it there? So I called the store early this morning and it was still there, sadly at $49.99. But I decided I'd go get it with my giftcard and resell it if I didn't want it.
I love it. I will wear it a lot to bring down the cost per wear. It's sooooo sparkly compared to most of my other JC baubles, which are mostly resin beads. As Gigi would say, me loveth. Yay! :-)

ReplyDeleteI finally had to cave, but I don't feel too bad since what I bought fell under my ban's "flexible" guidelines. I'd wanted a black and white cardi, and the ombre dot cardi popped back for me! Along with a couple other cardis in spring weights, like the slub cotton, perfect, and a Jackie in a papaya-ish color that will fill a niche nicely. Of course, I won't be keeping them all, but maybe a couple!
ReplyDeleteI'd been planning to buy the "pearl-and-lace" necklace in the light amethyst for my bridesmaids to wear but it sold out before I had the chance. Does anyone know where I might be able to find an item that already sold out? Any help would be so appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Juliana
Wow, I really don't have a whit of self control. I saw Dina wearing the heck out of the beautiful stained glass earrings on her blog, which made me go back to the JC site and peruse again... Needless to say, after almost three weeks, my poor ban went bust! At least my ban died a respectable death. The earrings (in the clear crystals with black metal) were joined by the Pippa metallic heels in amethyst and a spring jacket for DH. I got him the utility jacket in faded chino, which kept disappearing during the 30%/free ship promo, so that was actually included in the OK to buy category of my doomed flexible ban. I actually hope to hate the shoes, though, so I don't have to keep them, but dang are they cute.
