Terms of offer are subject to change. So this sale is great for those interested in J.Crew's denim (which doesn't get its own dedicated promotion too often). However, it is kind of boring.
The Final Sale had another good update this morning. Lots of merchandise for everyone (1240+ for Women and 540+ for Men). The sale section has been pretty well stocked now for weeks. As many of you have commented, I am surprised J.Crew is not offering more discounts (and deeper discounts) to get this merchandise moving. Even I am tired of seeing the same things languishing about.
Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Are there Denim pieces you are interested in getting? If so, please share! :)
I've lost interest in J. Crew's denim. It doesn't fit me well, and usually has no stretch so it's very uncomfortable for me. Madewell, on the other hand, has been improving their denim, IMO. OT, but I bought two pairs of Rail Straight jeans (Dusty Blue wash) from Madewell in a too-long length because I thought I could hem them (my length was not available). I went to return them, though, since I knew I'd never get around to hemming them. At the store, they offered me free hemming and they would mail them back to me at no charge, how awesome is that? They had me at free hemming. J. Crew probably offers free hemming too, but I don't bother because the jeans don't fit me right.
ReplyDeleteBut if denim means their button down denim, I like those a lot.
I agree about loving the improvements to Madewell jeans. Of course, it's too soon to tell how they will last, but I am so happy with the fit and added stretch. Picked up some beautiful deep burgundy skinny skinny ankles this weekend, and couldn't be happier. Just wish Madewell put on as many promos as it's big sister, J. Crew :)
DeleteI have not been interested in any of these types of promos recently....the selected type of items at a % off. I prefer the % off everything you purchase. I think many of us feel this way. J Crew is losing out with not having a higher % off final sale right now.
ReplyDeleteI agree. You know it's bad when I've stopped even looking at the J. Crew web site in the morning.
DeleteHear hear!
DeleteI don't understand this promotion at all. Presumably, if you wanted denim, you would have ordered it during the 25% off everything promotion. This promotion is no better than what you received on denim yesterday, and yet, now denim is the only thing on promotion. Seems odd to me. The only person this would apply to is someone who didn't know the 25% off promotion was running all weekend, or someone who only wanted to order a pair of jeans and therefore could not meet the $150 minimum of the last promotion.
ReplyDeleteOne bonus I see is that it is a "prices as marked" promotion, so if you had another discount code, you could add that and end up with more than 25% off denim.
That's so true. I was bummed that the blackout denim jacket wasn't included but then I thought, duh!, I could've just gotten it with my FALLSTYLE order if I really wanted it!
DeleteI'm hoping for another "something off everything" promo for Labor Day weekend. I was away and sadly missed the last 25% off promo. There are a bunch of new items I'd love to add to my closet! I'll be passing on the denim promo: my high-waisted stretch skinnies are a perennial favorite but the ones I purchased in Winter 2012 are still going strong and I prefer other brands like Paige and Joe's for my regular denim.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for a good promotion over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYawn. If anyone really wanted denim, didn't they just buy it during the 25% off? I'm not a fan of their denim - glad to get a break from stalking the website, lol.
ReplyDeleteFrom an overseas perspective, this promo at least is available to us. The last one was only for the US and Canada.
ReplyDeleteI don't particularly want to buy any denim, but I do appreciate it when the promos are for everyone!
