This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!
:)
I heard everyone's comments/thoughts on camo yesterday but thought I'd share a fun outfit I wore the other day. I picked up a pair of the Gap Always Skinny Camo print jeans ( I like their camo print, it's not as green as the JCrew camo)and wore it with my bar t-shirt in grey/navy.
ReplyDeleteI thought the J Crew camo pants too green also....will check Gaps's-thanks!
DeleteI also bought the Gap camo pants due to the color difference! I paired them with the J.Crew ditzy floral popover and a jean jacket. Made the pants a little more feminine!
DeleteA couple new reviews - the paneled stripe dress, $79.99 in-store & the camp dobby stripe popover here.
ReplyDeleteSome styling ideas HERE @ ebelandi.com
ReplyDeleteSissi's blog link here for those in the slow camp w/me. Cute outfits :)
DeleteWore a few Jcrew Oldies But Goodies items here
ReplyDeletePlease help me style the No. 2 tipped pencil skirt (charcoal grey with navy stripes down the sides). I bought it and thought it was super cute until my husband said it reminded him of the US Postal Service uniform!
ReplyDeleteYou can wear lots of tops with this skirt. Almost anything goes: white, yellow, green, red, pink. The more colourful the top, the less distracting the skirt will be.
DeleteNO way-it's so cute! What do boys know :) Striped tees, any pop of color blouse or tee. It's a total neutral.
DeleteThe skirt is cute! It's different than your usual pencil skirts. What do boys know? My husband thinks blazers on girls make them look like a man.
DeleteThanks for the suggestions!
DeleteOT ... J. Crew was recognized as having the best online shopping experience in the Huffington Post article here:

Wow. Wonder what they were smoking.
DeleteI actually have to say that compared to many other retailers I shop with, J Crew's online shopping is far superior. Their inventory control has been spot on for me and the items ship quickly in some cases even the same day I placed the order and arrive quickly. Anthropologie for example will continue to keep an out of stock item listed as available and I have received countless cancellations from them even though I shop with them far less than JCrew. I also like that J Crew uses UPS. Any delivery that involves the US postal service is bound to have problems at some point and with slower delivery. I have also always had some sort of resolution to an online order question or issue with JCrew but that has not been the case with many other retailers
DeleteA Crewlet review. The tailored shirtdress. Love it. Remember SALE30 for 30% off sitewide.
ReplyDeleteI just received the beaded rose necklace in white. I felt good paying for the real deal because I felt like the white is pretty classic. But, my challenge to you is how to style for winter! What are your thoughts? Thanks guys :)
ReplyDeleteI suggested to another reader to pair with winter whites for winter. HTH!
DeleteI'm looking for suggestions for what to pair with the trench dress to make it cold weather appropriate (other than a crisp blouse or a tissue turtleneck) but not bringing it into uniform/flight attendant territory. The double-breasted front can compete with a cardigan, making it look to busy or sloppy.
ReplyDeleteNew online cuts at the top of the Irl Pic Guide. In-store price notes also listed, where applicable.
ReplyDeleteThe silk ruffle top in beanstalk & solid are both $79.99 in-store. Review of the solid.
