Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Sacramento, CA B&M had a massive sale section. Three and a half shelf sections of clothes. There are many yellow rainy day ballet flats. Perfect shirt in candy plaid. Katie colorblock cami in provence pink, all sizes. Lots of tissue tees. Tank tops. Boathouse dresses. Button-back tee in neon pink. Sequin boy shirt. One swirling dots dress. Tons of cargo pants. The instore shorts with the neon orange stripe. Cadabra cardigans in all colors and sizes. Shirred chambray skirts ($19.99) . Gingham vintage schoolboy shirt in both melon and light mist. Lunette minis in dark navy. Cotton voile tucked minis. Gingham minis in both the blue and yellow colors. Cotton Bell skirts in toffee and black (all sizes). It was so much my brain switched to overload. No percent off, but prices seem very reasonable.

  2. Also mention the jeans on sale not in the sale section but tucked away in the full price section! A whole rack of them! And sorry men, the men's section looked quite depleted. :P

  5. If someone in the NYC area is looking for the Wilder dress in XS, the Collection store had two as of yesterday afternoon (one was on hold for me but I decided to keep the S, which seems to fit me better). HTH someone.

  7. I did not; was in on Friday and the pickings were pretty slim.

But I did take the plunge on the Icon trench in the Pumice Stone color (via eBay), the longer length ... sooooo nervous that I may not *love* it, but I really hope I do! Fingers crossed. ...

Also puzzled to see my Ray-Ban Caravan sunglasses show up on eBay, the ones J Crew was selling for $125/pr not too long ago. I had noticed they'd disappeared from the display cases but just figured they were sent back to Ray-Ban. Apparently not, because one of the highest-volume JC resellers on eBay seems to have a cache of them.

So I bought two pair at a fair (not great) price. They're my holy grail sunglasses. I have to have them fitted with prescription lenses but I love the frames on my face so much that it's worth it. :)

  8. Oh, and I tried on the rainy-day ballet flats in my usual size in J Crew flats (9) and they were way too tight. I'd need at least a 9.5, and I have a narrow foot! I was really glad I tried them on IRL, otherwise I'd have bought them online and been stuck with 'em.

  9. I got the cotton stud cardigan in grey for $19.99 (currently $69.99 online) -- I tried a few other things on but was feeling really meh about spring stuff since it was snowing again!

  10. anything_but_full_price, no it is still fp in store but if you mention that it is on sale online and ask if they can homor the price they should do it (I got mine for $48 with the 20% on top of the sale price).TIA!

  11. I was in Tucson, AZ on business at the end of last week and did some shopping in the evenings. I just have to say how nice the La Encantada J Crew store is! It seemed to have much more inventory than my Scottsdale stores and the associates were really helpful! I found the sun-drenched sweatshirt in orange in my size there. A very nice find, especially when the weather turned unseasonably cold.
