J.Crew Email: How to make Mom extra happy...(just for you)

"Thanks!" to so many of you, including Peggy R., & honeybee (in this post), who let us know the latest promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering select customers a special Mother's Day gift: free monogramming & free gift boxes when you log-into your J.Crew account. This offer will run through 4/23/11.

The email also gives a sneak peek of J.Crew's upcoming love-themed May catalog, by featuring Model Arizona with her 2-year-old son, Nikko. Adorable!

It's also completely mysterious to me the rationale of which customers get selected. ;) However, "congrats!" to those who have the offer! :)

  1. Ah, interesting. I was wondering if some RSIPs (randomly-selected important persons) got Free Shipping in their account this time around?

  2. Of all the J Crew special emails to get... my first is THIS one. Will have to think more positive thoughts next time the free shipping one happens.

That was my first thought. Have we seen this skirt already? Does anyone know the SKU?

Happy mother/mothering day! Care for yourself, so you may care for others.

  7. Belle de jour, the promo pic from the upcoming May catalog. It's printed ever so lightly at the bottom of the pic. Interests me enough to make a trip to the b&m for a catalog.

Does anyone know when new arrivals will be on the website?

  8. Got the email, have absolutely no use for gift boxing or monogramming.

  9. I got this as well, but have no use for either. Free ship no min is always appreciated! I find I order quite a bit when that promo is on my account.

  10. Heads up, monogramming something makes it FINAL SALE.

  11. Got the email, like Desert Flower I have no use for the services. Free ship, no min would've been appreciated (and used)!

  12. I also got this email and while the gesture is nice, it would have been much better if free ship/no minimum had been included.

  13. No e-mail for me, but no matter, as these 'benefits' aren't of any use to me. Bleh.

  14. I got the e-mail as well, but don't intend to use it. Why couldn't I have gotten a better promo . . .like the peaches!

But I agree . . .love that skirt! Will definitely be looking for that one to arrive on-line and in-store.

  15. I got this email and I would never monogram an item as a gift unless I was absolutely positive it would be wanted and fit because as mentioned, it is final sale. Gift boxing I have used so I do appreciate that. But like others, I would much rather have free shipping on my account.

Does anyone remember when they shipped gift cards with a gift box that was sized to hold a shirt? I always thought that was really strange.
