J.Crew is really sending out the coupon codes (with $100/$150 minimums) lately!
I just got an email from J.Crew offering free shipping on orders of $1o0+ with promo code SEASHELL. This offer expires 6/11/08. (By the way, thanks to Laura Kateri for pointing that code out as well in another post.)
Marisa let us know in the "Darlings, is it time for a J.Crew coupon" post of earlier today, that J.Crew offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code OCEAN. This offer expires 6/11/08. (Thanks Marisa and to the others posting about that code!)
UPDATE: "Anonymous at 1:54 PM" in this post let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping with code CANADA on orders $150+. This offer also expires 6/11/08.
I can't say this enough, but "thanks!" for all those who share their codes and even those who were about to and saw someone else had posted about it already. I love how we have developed a nice community of sharing these codes! :)
I haven't seen a $100 or more coupen in awhile.. it's always $150.00. I guess I can buy 1 1/2 things and qualify for free shipping! horrayyyyy!
ReplyDeleteWanted to throw mine in also. This morning JCrew sent me this one: CANADA for Free shipping on orders $150+ Offer expires at 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. valid on Internet orders
ReplyDeleteshipped via Regular Shipping (4 to 7 business days)
to US and Canadian addresses only.
They've sent this one to me before, regarding the question of how they decide who gets which code, maybe their system knows I'm a Canadian customer! It's terrible that they removed the no minimum free shipping, but I have to say, I really appreciate that they offer free shipping to Canadian addresses, most places charge double to send to here forget free shipping.
I am happy to hear you can qualify for free shipping Anonymous at 1:45PM! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous at 1:54 PM: I will make sure to post this! :)
Has anyone seen the Polka dot Lana top in person...wondering about how bright the neon pink is.....Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSorry! small edit, CANADA code works for USA orders also :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jagjag2: Unfortunately I haven't seen the Polka dot Lana top in person. But it looks really pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous at 2:27PM for the update! :)
I'm bummed I missed the 20% off one... anyone know of another one?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Karen
I just noticed the JCrew luggage collection. What?! I hadn't even known they were venturing into the luggage world...
ReplyDeleteAnyone bought these? While they look gorgeous, and I'm sure they're made from high quality leather... they look highly impractical for air travel. And they're really expensive! Although I shouldn't be talking since I just plonked down $900+ on a Ferragamo purse last week :o)
Hey Sue.Bee! There was actually a post on the luggage J.Crew offers:
ReplyDeleteJ.Crew travels in style, but will you?
Thanks, Alexis! Guess I need to look through your entire blog now and catch up on all the posts I missed! :o)
ReplyDeleteJagjag2- saw Polka dot Lana tops in store 2 weeks ago and tried all of them on (it comes in 3 colors).I contemplated bying one on-line in grey, but they sold out in my size, and I glad I did not. Gray turned out to be too pale and washed out, but mustard and pink ones were adorable. I liked them both. Pink is a bright color, not muted, but conservative cut of garment compensates for brightness in my opinion, it did not look tacky at all. Looked elegant with a punch ( if such term exists).:)I can see how many ppl might not like mustard color ( it's love it or hate it color),but it's really rich up close. Paired with jeans and nice light sweater/cardigan would look lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you guys think of the Coppelle paisley Alessia blouse? Some days I look at it and think it would be fabulous (maybe with cropped dark denim matchstick jeans?) and other days I'm not so sure...It looks as though it's not selling...it's a pretty busy pattern. I bought the Printed silk twill boatneck top in that print and ended up not loving it...I exchanged it for the Sand print which I love (the paisley isn't selling in that style either...hmmm) I love the print but is it too much on a shirt?
ReplyDeleteI realize this is foul play, but generally, I order enough to qualify for free shipping, and just return the 'overage' to the mall when I go next, charging the enitre kit and caboodle to my JCrew charge to make things simple. Until they offer reasonable shipping, I will be forced to be the 'mad returner'. I think the folks at the mall hate me. Our mall store has a limited selection, and I generally am returning items they don't carry to begin with . . . . .
ReplyDeleteI am somewhat embarassed to not post anonymously.

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the Coppelle Paisley blouse in person, but I have the matching headband! I think on the headband it's cute, but I could see how it might be a little much as a top.
I've seen the Trastevere Paisley Boatneck Top and the matching dress in-person at the store, and I have to say...when I saw it in the catalog and online I wanted it, but in-store I quickly changed my mind. The pattern's too busy and makes you dizzy! It's better in smaller quantities
The Chic Chauffeur: You are not alone! Also, very funny being the "mad returner"! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I couldn't agree with you more that they need to offer reasonable shipping rates.
Sue.Bee thanks about the Boatneck top. I was looking at it online and thought it was quite pretty. But hearing your opinion about seeing it in person has made me rethink my potential purchase!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue.Bee...that's the reason I returned the Coppelle paisley boatneck in the first place...it made me dizzy! The pattern is pretty but I'm going to trust my original instincts...unless maybe there's a %30 off sale or something...then I might be tempted to make it a layering piece! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely one of those things you really have to think long and hard about before buying. I saw one of the store employees wearing the boatneck top paired with white pants...from a faaaar distance it was cute, but when I was standing right next to her I had to look away, my eyes couldn't handle the pattern up close!
ReplyDeleteSlastena, Thanks for letting me know about the top. I really like hot pink so I am definitely considering it after your comments. Not having a store nearby makes it hard.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Trav. Paisley silk sundress (sold out)but have yet to see it in person. I am thinking for a vacation type sundress it will be fine.
I believe it was kirby dog who stated in an earlier post about getting the "run around" from JCrew and them not answering questions directly....also about distracting comments about quality fabrics, etc. I have to agree they have nice fabrics but you were "right on" with your comments that the garments are still made in China and sometimes poor workmanship and defects are very evident. Still love JCrew but would love them more if "everything" was not made in China.
Hi all!
ReplyDeleteI tried on the polka-dot Lana top in the store a few weeks ago. Loved the hot pink (it's my "power color"), but thought that the cut was way too generous - I put on the 0 (am typically a 2 in JC tops) and felt like I was wearing a tent! My frame is small up top so the style just kind of overwhelmed it, which is too bad 'cause it looked so cute on the site. Geez, if I could wear all my clothes pinned back (but could never show my back to anyone - ha!)... I did end up getting the slub silk polka-dot Zoey top, which fit a little better and is *adorable*!
Thanks for the info. silver lining. I emailed JCrew for the garment measurements. Glad to hear the other top worked for you. I think that one is very pretty too.
ReplyDeleteYay for free shipping codes! Today I used OCEAN to get the Polka Dot Lana Top in silver and the Marina Stripe Dress.
ReplyDeleteThere is an additional 20% of sale items now through Friday!
