This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!

ReplyDeleteNoticed the black.white Nordic boots in the 60% off sale section this Am.
ReplyDeleteYes, but because Cardperks or any additional percentage off previously given doesn’t work, They’re actually more expensive today than they were on Monday for me anyway.
DeleteThere’s a lot more in the 60 off section but IMO prices are still too high for anything I would consider right now.
phooey!
DeleteI ordered a Wallace&Barnes chore jacket for the hubs with the 60% off it came to $60. It was not final sale, so I went ahead. This year I bought him a car coat and last year a top coat, but no new casual jacket (his are all in the 20+ yr old range!) for winter.
DeleteWhen using a different browser, I'm seeing a banner that says use EXTRA40 for 40% off sale. I had difficulty with the website on my iPhone (could not sign in, could not add to cart). Desktop seems to be working OK. Really miss the wishlist!
ReplyDeleteMe too! When I link from an email.
DeleteI see extra40 in the header on my browser but the code throws an error when I try it.
ReplyDeleteHa! When I looked at the details of extra40 it says valid through Dec 25.
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny - I figured it had to be an error because it said something like "In a Holidaze?" and I couldn't figure out what holiday they would be referring to! :)
DeleteI know Copley, in Boston, has the new February collection out and it's making me excited for spring! Leopard prints, lions on silk pants and a matching silk shirt, new twists on stripes and candy colored cashmere, new barn jacket with a Liberty print collar, a new slim wide leg pant silhouette and more! I also heard Copley will be getting swim wear in store soon, which they haven't had previously. Lots to love in there right now, they're having a new collection event today, so may be worth swinging by over the weekend!
ReplyDeletejust got back from 5th ave store. i picked up one of the new liberty shirts.... the store had 25% off but honored the online 30% off for the shirt... i had some rewards money too so i'm happy... but it's my first jcrew purchase in over a month!
ReplyDeletePopped in today to have a look at the new stuff, but mainly to try the new version of the Kiki ballet flats, my all-time fave. Very similar to the older version with a few key differences: they are a half-size larger than the old ones (I brought a pair of mine along to compare), the sole is man-made, and the vamp is a teensy bit lower. Seemed otherwise to be comparable in terms of leather quality and comfort. Pics on my IG @poettodesign
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, sale section was extra 40% off and reg-price items 25% off, though they were of course honouring the 30% WEARNOW sale. Lots of blah sweaters, fleeces and holiday stuff in the sale section, which was stuffed to the gills.
Posted this in a previous post discussing the current high rise trend (which I’m actually loving when they’re cut right) although the following article makes me want to just put my like new lower rise jeans aside.

@Suz Thanks for the chuckle! In style or not, low-rise jeans were not viable for me on their last go round, and certainly won’t be now, 10+ years later!
DeleteYour post reminded me that I had intended to post about other jean brands. I’m pretty much a Gap girl when it comes to jeans, and also have a pair of J.Crew Billies. I also have some old DKNY jeans from Costco that I love. In other words, I don’t spend a lot on my jeans. While killing time at Saks Off Fifth last week, I decided to try on some “premium” brands to see what all the fuss was about. I grabbed a pair of Joe’s Jeans and a pair of 7 for All Mankind. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. They were absolutely unremarkable in fabric, fit, or details. In a blind test, I would have assumed these were Old Navy jeans. Do others find this to be the case?
Years ago I loved 7FAM a d also had a few pairs of HUDSON jeans and Joie that fit really well, but styles changed and the last pair of 7FAM I bought I actually hated. I tried a few pairs of Joes and didn’t like the fit.
DeleteI’m sort of in the middle. I haven’t worn Gap or Old navy jeans in a long time, won’t try the same junior brands my 17 year old wears, but I’m happy to get Crew or Madewell jeans on sale or I’ll even buy Everlane jeans at full price because they’re fairly reasonable and some of the cuts fit me well.
Sadly some of the Jcrew jeans I’ve bought just dont fit as well and in comparison are not as comfortable. Not because of fabric, because Of fit. They’re not made for someone as curvy as I am...even though I’m small I have a big difference between my waist and hips.
(And I know jcrew now makes curvy jeans which I may eventually try next time I’m in the market.)
DeleteWent last night after work in Chicago...some cute things, 25% off full price. I didn't know it was 30% off online. Why do they keep pulling tricks like that? It's so annoying. Anyway, I got an boyfriend merino striped sweater that I plan to return. It's just HUGE. I don't need to pay that much for an oversized sweater that I plan to just hang out in. That said, online I saw a silk shirt that is pretty cool. I might bite and get it.
ReplyDeleteWent to Galleria store since they’re closing and everything was 60% off. Even full price stuff rang up @25% off and then 60% on top of that. I didn’t buy much, just a gold skinny belt and jungle cat silk pants
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great sale. I am looking to get the Double-breasted trench coat in Italian boiled wool(Item AE297), wondering if they would match the sale online.
ReplyDeleteThat’s beautiful!
