Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Something I ordered about a month ago which was originally back ordered until April shipped this week. Other than the pop back boots from Madewell I got (which I might return), I'm not buying anything and have no plans to go to the mall this weekend.

    1. Same! Which MADEWELL boots did you get?
      For me, there’s not much I’m interested in. For the first time I may not even use my 50 off $150 coupon. I keep eyeing the plaid shoes but they still seem too $$$ since I won’t wear them for 11 MOS..

    2. i bought the carina boots in dark cabernet. they look so shiny and pretty online but they look kind of dull in real life. nordstrom was selling them too and their photos look more accurate. they're also a slightly more pointed toe than i was expecting. i'm on the fence about keeping them.

    3. I decided to return the Madewell boots. I tried them on again but I'm not in love. If they make the Ainsley Chelsea boot in the Cabernet color, then I'm getting them. I prefer the slightly more rounded toe. I'm also returning the pants I bought from JCrew.

  2. So I am feeling really dim because I can't find the right button to push to leave a review on the website. Am I missing something?

    (And the reason I wanted to leave a review: the Laney leopard-print calf hair pumps I received were two different colors. One had a lighter camel background with a fainter print and one was darker caramel with a darker print. CS was really nice about it and is expressing another pair but I'm bummed because I wanted them for my birthday party and yes I'm far too old to be sulking about a birthday outfit.)

    1. That stinks! I’ve seen different patterns but I can’t say I’ve seen a different color. I can understand your disappointment. Other JCAs have said there is no longer a review button. Or wishlist...

    2. I hope that you have a wonderful birthday and I would be totally disappointed too!

      As for reviews, it’s weird because some items have a place to add a review for Canada but not on the US site. I could add a review only if I’m on the Cdn site. I’ve noticed some new items have no area for reviews in either country which make it harder for sizing for sure. Probably many Canadians aren’t leaving reviews because we aren’t buying due to crappy or no promos here. I haven’t checked lately but we still had a wish list long after yours was gone.

    3. yes. we Canadians have the wishlist and reviews. but prices are still so high(over inflated even allowing for exchange rate of our dollar) the promos...or lack there of has been the what has kept me for ordering for 4mos....loog mths now/

    4. Yes, it’s ironic that they’ve left Canadians with the ability to review, but taken away all motivation to buy. My local store has been gone for a year now, and I placed my last order during the Flashening last January (Feb?) when prices were so low I could justify the high shipping/return charges (when return shipping was *only* $25! I heard it’s more like $40 now?).

    5. I'm glad Canadians still have a wishlist and reviews, as they have been gone for a while. Back in early November CS told me they would be restored soon. I'm assuming they just don't care that both are essential functions when shopping online.

    6. I'm still getting review request emails, so reviews do work. In US. But I think for very new items the reviews may not be set up. The wishlist is supposed to come back.

    7. I wonder if they remove the ability to review if you write critical reviews. My last one was a 1-star rating and now the review option is gone! Coincidence?

    8. I just wrote to J.Crew AGAIN because I still cannot leave a review. The last time I was able to was months ago. I can see that people are leaving reviews but somehow I can't. There is no way for me to do it. Am I banned or something?
