This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!

I purchased the Everyday Cashmere Crewneck Sweater with Hearts and Stars because it seemed so cheerful and fun, but now I'm afraid it looks juvenile (and ridiculous on a 40 year old). Hit me with your best ideas!
ReplyDeleteI think it’s cute and we’re the background black I would consider it because it’s festive but not over the top. I might it over a butter down to make it feel a little preppier, you could also layer a blazer over it. It’s fun and festive.
DeleteSorry auto correct,
DeleteBUTTON down.
Thanks, and excellent suggestions. A button down might neutralize it a bit, and a blazer will make it feel a bit more grown up. Appreciate the suggestions!
DeleteLive those sweaters. Many ways to wear from slacks to jeans or plain skirt. I think they very versatile. Can pair up with navy and black very easily. I don’t know which hearts sweater you taking about.... I been on. A search for black with camel hearts....lol
ReplyDeleteI say not juvenile at all
