I ordered a madras patchwork shirt from LL Bean and I love it so much that I went back and ordered 2 pairs of madras shorts plus another color in the shirt. I’m going to be decked out in plaid this summer. I sized up in the shorts per customer reviews, but I don’t think it was necessary unless you prefer a looser fit. The fit sems tts to me and they didn’t shrink much in the wash, but fortunately I like them a little loose.
ReplyDeleteI have the madras LL Bean bermuda shorts from last summer. I also sized up - mistake! - and then I've lost weight since. As a result they are falling-off big. But I'll wear them with a belt anyway, since they are great shorts.
DeleteGM! I was very excited about the Target/Hunter collab but have not had a chance to see it anywhere. The reviews have been all over the place with many complaints and a few articles stated that the collab would not be restocked in stores. Did anyone see it or get their hands on any of the pieces, momma, baby or accessories?
ReplyDeleteI think the whole collab was disappointing, Rashawnda. The women’s tall rain boots are still not available yet and that was the main focal point of the collection. The rest of it is weird random stuff - umbrellas, plastic backpacks. They do have some low boots. The footwear is only available in store (not online) and I’m certainly not going to chase sizes around town.
DeleteI was mostly just curious since I already have two pairs of the real boots. The collab version has mixed reviews and looks really inferior - very weird shape. Not one of Target’s better collab IMO.
I'm a hardcore Boden fan. No, tehre aren't any stores here in the U.S., but the quality is truly exceptional. The dresses, ladies, the dresses. You won't be disappointed. US sizes are 4 less than UK sizes, so a 10US is a 14UK. If you're 5'8" or over, go for a Long. Don't get a Long in pants unless you are over 5'10" - Try it out, Boden is a very close contender to JCrew in my closet!

DeleteI love Boden quality and flattering fit. Also I love that they [provide individual measurements for each garment in each size. I really wish they modernized their prints and even color schema does not appeal to me much. I still find a few things to love here and there.
DeleteI think I've gotten detail specs from J Crew on garments over chat and email...the exact waist, leg size etc...
DeleteI love my Boden pajamas but haven't tried any dresses. I agree about the prints and colors but there have been many things I'm been tempted to order. I just usually never do because the thought of having to pay to return just seems like a hassle.
