Wow the pricing games are intense. One item I am watching was $24 with yesterday's promo, $48 with today's.
ReplyDeletecan't believe it but so far I prefer Borderfree Shiping than the new UPS for Canada. at least I new when to expect delivery...
ReplyDeleteI agree! The new tracking is so vague and has no expected delivery date. The weird thing is that my package arrived I thought from ups since it was with the new system but the label said Canada post.
DeleteThis is a general retail vent: is there ANY v neck cardigan in wool/silk/cotton in decent colors available anywhere? Not cropped, not slits on the sides, not a lower hem in the back. Just a plain, decently made sweater. I mean, geez.
ReplyDeleteLiz, I am looking for the same thing to replace my old J Crew Factory cotton v neck cardigans. They are looking pretty well loved and it's time to replace. Of course I cannot find anything similar anywhere.
DeleteDitto! I need some linen boat/round/Vneck pullovers and longer cardigan sweaters and there are none at Jcrew.
DeleteI've been happy with Banana Republic's selections as of late.
DeleteI was also going to recommend BR, also possibly Nordstrom.
DeleteI have several merino wool v neck button downs from COS. It is owned by H&M but skews older and more minimalist. Some of the stuff is a little strange but their basics are great. Limited colors, but new colors each season. They have great sales a few times a year. I wear the same size as in J Crew.
DeleteI generally have good luck with Uniqlo for basics, and I think they do carry cotton v-neck cardigans right now. Not so much for wool though, unless you strike it lucky in the sale section. Their colour selection is usually decent too.
DeleteBoth LLBean and Lands End have simple all cotton sweaters available. My Lands End pullovers wash well and stand up to regular wear.
DeleteNot exactly a vent, but I bought the camouflage foundry pant again in a much larger size and prefer the fit.
ReplyDeleteI knew my middle daughter would like them, so I bought a second 0 and a 4 not knowing how they'd fit her. Ends up she loves the more fitted, high rise fit of the 0 whereas I prefer the slouchier hip slung fit of the 4.
Having seen style guide pics online (not sure if they ever made them in print, but the one I am thinking of showed a model wearing the camo pants with a white ruffle blouse and white sneakers) they definitely show them looser. While the 00/0 I normally wear fits, I feel the slouchier fit is more as intended.
Wouldn't it be nice if the website gave an indication of sizing/fit related to model pics? For example, on the Levi's site they will say "size down for a skinny fit, or go up two sizes for more of a boyfriend fit" (not copied verbatim). Especially when more items are online only this would be helpful.
That said, I have worn both sizes and I'm so glad I got the camo tippi. I love to wear them together even if my daughter says I look like a floating head.
Floating head, lol. I am strongly pro whatever makes you happy.
DeleteI support any additional info related to sizing that they can make available. Things like what you said regarding fit, also it would be great if when something really does not run true to size, if they would call that out, kind of like how Nordstrom does ("we recommend ordering a half size larger", e.g.).
I feel like in certain jeans and casual pants one almost needs to try four sizes. Kind of crazy.
DeleteSuz, I have the same problem with jeans and pants! Argh! I would have ordered the Cameron and the toothpick jean already if I was certain of sizing. I just really don't want to deal with returns. I am still rocking the Minnie, just couldn't get the right fit for any of their other pants since.
DeleteOkay the one print that might be cute is only made in a headband version. ??
ReplyDeleteSoft twist headband in Liberty Picador Print
Wonder if they’ll use the print for something else...
I love that too, and thus want the sandals!
DeleteYes, I was looking for actual clothing pieces in that print too!
DeleteI think that headband print is the same print as the yellow long sleeve shirt print, just on pink instead of on yellow. I like the yellow shirt too (I actually really like how they paired the headband and shirt together in the product photo), I just already have that wardrobe niche filled. Going to go look at the sandals now!
DeleteI'm still annoyed everything in my cart says excluded from promo. Even things I purchased on promo not even a week ago.
ReplyDeleteI've ordered the 2011 Icon Trench coat using a 30% promo code twice and they cancelled the order twice saying it was out of stock. It definitely wasn't out of stock when I placed the order with all the other sizes available. Just now, when I put the item in the cart, it's saying the item is on backorder. What gives?
ReplyDeleteI really happy found this website eventually. Really informative and inoperative, Thanks for the post and effort! Please keep sharing more such blog www.norton.com/setup
