This catalog has an old-J.Crew-catalog-circa-2005 feel to it. Frankly, I am loving that feel too!
I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this catalog now!
What are your thoughts? Do you know when
the newest arrivals are expected to be available? Are you looking
forward to the upcoming new arrivals?
I believe that for the first time EVER, that I like not one thing in a J.Crew catalog. That's not right
ReplyDeleteI haven't looked inside but my first thought was that they shouldn't be riding like that without a helmet!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU. Going without a helmet makes for a prettier picture, but that can go SO wrong SO fast.
DeleteGo into the store right now it will change your mind!!! SWOON
DeleteI agree, Alexis - that cover shot looks so 2005.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple pieces of interest (love the look of that grey/white tuxedo henley, reminds me of a white one I have from '07), but also a lot of styling inspiration that I could recreate using pieces I already have.
I did a double take when I first saw this new cover. It does look so vintage Crew! I love the outside shots and the pieces are very compelling. Can't wait to see the new rollout!
ReplyDeleteThe catalog looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTres preppy .. love it!
ReplyDeleteThe toggle coat will be mine, love!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!! Thank you for scanning and sharing, Ina. I can't wait to see it in person.
ReplyDeletelove the looks in this catalog and how each outfit is styled. except for the falsetto suede ankle tie pumps, though, nothing is really calling out to me. but just looking at these pics is giving me great inspiration on what to do with the pieces i currently have in my closet, and that's always nice :)
ReplyDeleteOT - Madewell just put up a 40% sale offer that runs from Oct 17 to Oct 22. Code is BONUS40.
ReplyDeleteGiven how few promos Madewell does, I'm much likely to pull the trigger on a purchase here than with J Crew.
*I'm much more likely*
DeleteSigh. Mammas don't let your babies grow up to be sleep deprived lawyers :-)
I actually thought it was a look in the J Crew archives post from the cover for a second there. Even if I don't like the offerings, I like the fact that the catalog is fun to look at.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I'm in love with that style guide for NOV!!!!!! Incredibly awesome and I'm loving country style right now! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThere are loads of cute blazers and coats in the catalog - I don't need more of either in my closet but it may be hard to resist (unless they're all Collection-priced!)
ReplyDeleteLoving this style guide! Thanks for sharing Ina!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ina and Alexis!! I am loving this lookbook, it makes me think of home (CT) and all the equestrian preppy goodness I used to wear. And suddenly I miss my horses a little more. The styling is much less city chic than what I wear now but that's OK, this change of pace is so nice for the crisp goodness of Fall. Lots of stuff added to my wishlist for eventual purchase.
ReplyDeleteAhh, my heart stopped when I saw the cover-- but sadly-- at least at the first glance there is nothing I like. Sure, they suppose to be same old great jcrew items but styled differently. I don't think so, not in quality, not in design. I still drink the crewlade but in very, very small amounts--
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am not really feeling much in this catalog. Well, some of the coats are nice, love the heathery teal color, but I don't need a coat. I am planning to buy the burgundy and pink blazer... hoping it comes in more delicious colors.
ReplyDeleteI hope there will be more to love... Holiday is the best season at J.Crew, in my opinion.
Yay, Ina! I like the toggle coat, too. The burgundy & pink blazer is also cute, but I'll just look from afar. I have no need for either. I have to say that most of my purchases have been from Factory.
ReplyDeleteLoving the look of this catalog!! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeletelooking closely at the peacoat - more colors?
ReplyDeleteand thanks, Ina!
Lots of new color,like heather charcoal,red,vintage berry,dark bone,heather mineral,heather twilight and navy.
DeleteHTH
Thanks for scanning! I'm very excited to see the new rollout in person.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone received the November Style Guide in the mail yet?
Thanks for sharing the catalog, Ina! Love all the Country Escape pages, and the blazers, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for this Ina & Alexis! I love the old jcrew feel of it. Looking forward to the holiday rollouts.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how much the tweed sleeve tee is, I can't make it out from the pic. Thank you.
Jan: Tweed Sleeve Top in Vintage Champagne/Black, 07568, $78, XXS-XL (also available in Navy/Green)
ReplyDeleteInfo from an email my VPS sent me with pictures and prices.
Shopalot, thank you so much! Here's hoping its not too short and boxy. :)
DeleteThanks for sharing! I'm excited about that green toggle coat. I'm a sucker for a coat with a hood! I hope it's not $400...
ReplyDeleteSo funny. This is the sort of overly preppy boring look that kept me from ever entering a jcrew store in the first place.
