This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!
:)
For the first time ever, when I clicked on a product link (Jeweled-shoulder sweater), I received the message, "We're sorry, this product cannot be shipped internationally". I am in Canada, and I have never encountered this before (and I am a fairly regular J.Crew online shopper). Does anyone know why they are restricting certain items internationally?
ReplyDeleteLaura
No clue, however I did see this sweater in a Canadian store.
DeleteUsually they restrict some items because of the content - such as python skirt, bag, etc.
DeleteI would call a VPS and ask her/him to ship it for you. If you need a VPS, e-mail me and can recommend you one.
Paired with 3 different Jcrew white silk blouses here. The Silk Crepe Tee is always my favorite!
ReplyDeleteFall styling inspiration for J.Crew in the closet here.
ReplyDeleteAm I mistaken or are there some new arrivals on the web site today?
ReplyDeleteOT - Just recvd an email 40-60% at J Crew Factory, in-store. Good now thru Sun.
ReplyDeleteThat's storewide, btw.

I am in love with my new "Collection café capri in tattersall" pants (navy with the orange stripes) however now that I have them I'm not sure how to style them - help! I don't want them to just sit in my closet all fall
ReplyDeleteLove these pants - since the pants are busy, I would stick to navy, white, ivory, black, etc on top if you're planning to wear them to a somewhat more conservative workplace.

ohh, I have been eyeing those. Would you mind filling me in on fit? TTS, etc.?
ReplyDeleteIf I purchased, one combo I though would be cute is a gray peplum sweater and leopard pumps.
I normally buy petite and they didn't offer them in petite so I did get them taken in but I believe they were pretty TTS. I like the idea of a peplum top making it more feminine since the pants feel more "menswear-ish" to me - Thanks for idea!
ReplyDeleteA couple of reviews here. The leather panel v-neck sweater & long sleeve ponte peplum shirt.
ReplyDeleteOT but I have a review of graphic 3/4 sleeve t-shirt with bird print. It is not yet online so I guess it is coming in the new rollout. I actually liked it enough to buy it (in the concept store) even if it is rather overpriced. See it HERE
ReplyDeleteAttention JCAs in Canada....final sale will be an addtl 50% off starting Sat, 10/4.
ReplyDeleteAs it was told to me.
Have fun!!!!!!!
Hi Gigi,
DeleteThanks for this info. Do you know if this add'l 50 off will be just in store, or to online orders as well?
Thanks again for the heads up. Either way, I'll plan a visit to my neighbourhood B&M!
R - I was told that it is in-store. I would be really surprised if it were online.
DeleteYou're right, I can't imagine that either...but thought I would check :) Thanks for the reply...!
DeleteWow! I wish there was a store nearby...but no such luck...

some outfit ideas over at my blog @ ebelandi.com
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the name or style number of this skirt?
ReplyDeleteHi J.CrewJD! I have the petite version of the skirt in black, and the style number is 80273. It's from Holiday 2006. I don't know what the item number for the regular length is, but you can see the catalog pic of it in this JCA post from 2010. The skirt is in the 3rd catalog image. :)
DeleteIt's called the Felted Wool Kassie skirt...polyvore image is here. HTH! :)
DeleteFFM, thank you SO much! You're the best!!! I bought it on eBay today, so excited that it's from Holiday 2006. One of the best seasons ever for J.Crew. I won it on eBay today since J.Crew refuses to put out a navy wool non suiting skirt!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, and congratulations on getting the skirt! The quality is excellent, and as you said, it is from one of the best seasons ever for J.Crew. I'm sure you're going to love it! :)
