Personally, I really like the Factory roll out better then the retail site roll out. Although, Factory has a Tilda shirt version. It's Fall J. Crew! This was a spring item at retail. I know I can wear this in Los Angeles, but can't really see people who live in states with real weather wearing this for very long. Wow! That being said some of the sweaters and the Factory Peacoat are really tempting! Better prices then retail and cute!

As far as stuff "selling out", the wine colored midrise toothpick cords, to my extreme dismay, sold out last week... only to magically reappear in all sizes yesterday morning. I think a) they don't have all of their stock initially when an item hits the website, and b) people buy alot of stuff to try on and return most of it! So, there's hope if you want something that sold out today.

So annoying though because we Canadians don't get free shipping on returns and can't return in stores. Luckily I'm going to the states soon and can do the return there, but what a pain in the butt.

DeleteThey did a price adjustment for me. They weren't sure at first they could stack my coupon on top of the sale, but after checking, she was able to. I was going to argue, since I know that a promo code is always good on whatever the marked price is. I know I can't use two promo codes, but if merchandise is at 50% off, I should be able to use my 20% coupon on top of that, at least historically. That is how it worked out in the end.

DeleteThis morning, I definitely reordered the entire order I placed on Tuesday. It's just costing them money in the end to do these price changes constantly. I got free shipping on both orders since they were over $100, and they will have to restock everything I return.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I waited to order...last rollout they dropped the prices after the factory "sneak peek." But it's a little ridiculous - doesn't seem like much incentive to be part of the "factory first" if they slash the prices even further when the actual rollout things. I'd bet they pulled a few items from being on sale...ie the leather Gigi pants. Hoping to get up to the Factory store in the next week or so but I may place an order since the prices + the 20% off code is a pretty good deal. I like the black polka dot skirt and the flannel pj pants are a steal...and will likely be stocking up on another white Tilda since this has been my go-to layering under sweaters. They added a pewter color of the square stone bracelet - I have this in the crystal and black and love it! Happy shopping :)

DeleteHi julie, I ordered one about a month ago in the blue color and returned it. I thought it was nice but the style is not great on me (was probably same style/cut as retail one) and I wasn't in love with the color. I also think the wool wasn't quite as nice as the retail cocoon coat wool. That said, it was a very nice coat, especially at the price I got it for.

And this time while in my cart. :( Customer service was very vague on the phone - she said it might be in stores but doesn't look like factory is getting more.. which is what the online rep said yesterday, and then voila, more today. Five minutes later they were ALL sold out. I checked other colors and nope, EVERY color and size is supposedly sold out. This was very early this morning, too. Whatever. I really don't NEED anything. :)

ReplyDeleteIt seemed as if they had pulled stuff off the floor for this. No vests, no houndstooth jackets, no Tildas etc. Even the jewelry ... only colored versions, no crystal/clear. Is the stuff really selling out or are they hiding it in back during these big % off promos?
I just got back from my factory store, and they had tildas and crystal jewelry out. I overheard some of the sales associates talking as I was trying things on, and apparently, they do have "exclusions" that they pull from the sales floor before the sale begins. They were surprised that a coat they were looking at hadn't been excluded from the sale.
