In case you are thinking about the wintress puffer,i have a review on my blog
ReplyDeletehere.
I agree that it's nice to see so many promotions, especially before right now before Christmas when final sale isn't in effect.
ReplyDeleteOf course with this Bundle-Up Event there are a lot of new items on promo, as well as a few others that are not necessarily cold-weather styles, and a few markdowns, too. I have updated the women's promo-priced items list here, and will have the men's list updated in just a bit.
Btw, the Bundle-up Event items are on the updated promo-priced list. :)
DeleteHas anyone seen the Wintress puffer in brilliant cobalt or dark artichoke? Are the colors on the website accurate?
ReplyDeletest I bought the brilliant cobalt for my daughter. She's 10 and loves color (she owns crewcuts neon pants for example) so the cobalt is perfect for her. It is very bright, not a royal blue but a bright cobalt, I would say the color is pretty accurate on my monitor.
DeleteThought this was an interesting article, re: promotions:
ReplyDelete"In terms of Q4 promotions, J. Crew has positioned itself as it did in 2011, "we don't really expect it to get any better or less promotional than last year, and really, the only difference would be our efforts to create a more seamless experience for our customer online and in-stores with regard to the promotional time periods and events," said Haselden."

Does anyone have a warmth review for the Stadium-cloth duffle coat? I live in Ottawa, Ontario and was hoping to buy a warm coat that has a hood and isn't a puffer. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I wear mine from last year in weather as cool as 30-ish degree farenheight but any colder I switch to a puffer.
DeleteHi Katie, I have the stadium cloth duffle coat from last year (looks pretty much the same as this year's) and it's one of my warmest coats. Winter in Toronto is not as cold as in Ottawa, but I wore it all through January and February this year and it was great, warm but not as bulky as a puffer.
DeleteCan anyone recommend sizing for the majesty peacoat? Does it fit true to size or more fitted? I wear a 6 in the lady day, but a 4 in blazers and other outerwear. Wasn't sure how fitted the majesty is. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I have the Majesty Peacoat in a size 2. I usually wear a 0/XS for everything else in the store. I feel like the Majesty Peacoat runs a bit small, especially if you are someone who likes to layer with a thick sweater or a few tops under your coat. I didn't feel like the 0 gave me enough "wiggle room" inside the coat (i.e., it wouldn't button when I had a thick sweater underneath!).
DeleteI would recommend going up one size from your usual coat size, unless you do not like to layer. It is definitely more of a fitted coat; the arms are fitted, as well as the midsection.
Hope this helps!
I agree. I don't size up but go with my "larger" J Crew size for the majesty. It is SO warm and lovey that even my husband commented on it!
DeleteI actually sized down, for a more fitted look but still have enough room for a decent sweater under
DeleteI'm a 4 in blazers/jackets and always size up to a 6 in coats (Majesty included). Hope this helps.
DeleteCould someone please help me? I have been trying to locate the Factory Charley puffin sweater in an XS. If anyone sees one in their local store, can you please let me know? Thank you so much!

DeleteI just returned from my B&M shop and they had a 30% promo on sweaters, and a 30% off final sale. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen any wild petunia merino sweaters IRL? I am wondering if the color is pepto-bismol or grandma-ish pink, or more of a lavender with a hint of pink. TIA!
ReplyDeleteSteph, wild petunia is very pretty. I passed because it was see thru w/a black bra, and I decided I didn't need it. Yes, I own nude colored bras, but the black bra was a small defense against crewlade. It's more of a lavender with hint of pink. But I'm inclined to say more pink w/a hint of lavender. Will be reviewing that color specifically tomorrow on my blog.
