Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. Can anyone comment the Bold Red colour in the Jackie shell? On my screen it looks rather orange.

    1. Bold Red is orange. I have the Jackie in this color and would never call it red.

    2. Thank you so much! I think I'll give it a go. I'm also looking at the long merino cardigan in Neon Orange and it looks almost the same as the Bold Red on my screen.

    3. A lot of J Crew's colors are very similar. Bright Zinnia (cotton Jackie) is almost exactly the same color as Bold Red.

    4. For long merino cardigan- is neon orange closer to modern red? Or a true neon orange? Anyone know?

  3. So received a cancellation notice for the houndstooth seavees I ordered on Wednesday . Checked the website and they are still in stock in my size so reordered. I really think the 40% off Black Friday weekend screwed everything up. hoping the reorder ships. I think maybe it is time to find a VPS. I feel bad using one as I am pretty much a sale only shopper. Anyone have a recommendation?

    1. Ugh, I ordered those shoes on Wednesday too and still haven't heard anything. I'm getting really frustrated because I have several orders that are open but nothing is happening. I understand that they are busy and probably overwhelmed but it would be nice to know if I'm actually going to recieve the items. I am a sale shopper too so I feel the same as you. I accidentally called the vps phone # one time instead of the main cs and they were very patient and helpful!

    2. Lauren- they were the one thing I had been waiting for to go on sale. Of course the rest of the order shipped. Felt confident ordering as it was the first day they were on sale and there were plenty of sizes left. I get they want to sell items from store inventory but perhaps during the holidays when the stores can't keep up with processing on line orders they should turn store fulfillment off so people don't order things they won't ever receive. I know Anthropologie does that sometimes. With sale items it is easy to see how five days after the order is placed there are none left in store especially this time of year. It leads to a bad experience for those placing orders on line. Either that or stores should have an extra person on staff to just pull and ship on line orders. They may do this but the stores may be crazy. Don't know. Anyway hope yours ship!!!!

    3. Sorry, Jess. Your ideas are good; maybe J Crew will take note. Hope you get the shoes this time! On a separate note, I'm happy for all who get/have gotten gift cards when items have been cancelled, but I'm curious how they decide to whom those go. I've never gotten one, nor a bounce back card, or the $25 off $100 non-bday promo. I'm wondering if it's based on spending tiers. J Crew's CS is so great that I wouldn't complain to them about it, but it seems hit or miss. I'm also getting promo fatigue, and guilt from shopping for myself over the holidays...

  4. I had a pair of shoes canceled on me and as an apology they sent me a $25 gift card. I was fine with it, since the shoes are expensive and I really don't need anymore. But today I got notification that the canceled shoes shipped. I do think the early sale made things crazy.

    1. Suz -Wait so there is hope?? That is strange they shipped after cancellation. I did get the gift card apology but I really do need the sneakers to wear with my black leggings and yoga pants as I keep eating more holiday treats. Lol! I never realized I really don't have any black athletic or casual sneakers.
