Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. in no way hit the health club with an empty stomach. You need meals so as that allows you to have sufficient electricity for the entire workout each day. http://guidemesupplements.com/max-test-xtreme-review/

  2. I ran by while I was in the mall. The store was pretty empty but I did find a return of the foulard silk margot top in my size and on sale plus a $25.00 gift card. I am actually wearing it today with a cabarnet wool jackie and some leopard calf hair shoes of course. Also carrying my collection zebra calf hair leather tote that I picked up at the clearance store. It is so gorgeous. I almost didn't get it but I knew this would be my only opportunity, glad I went for it.

  3. Went by this weekend for returns and to try on three wishlisted items (to prevent more returns, if they didn't work :/). Had called ahead and had a reindeer tee put on hold. Thin and shaped a little funny, but design too cute to pass up, since I will always layer something over it (wearing it today). I ordered and loved the festive fringe shell in ivory, so much that I wanted to try on navy and black versions (current price is great-my store was 40% off all, inc. sale). Decided ivory color is best on me, and easiest to style in different ways, so passed on the others. Last tryon was fair isle turtleneck in navy with pink; really cute, but itch factor was higher than usual for me, so pass. One other customer in store, but SA said they'd been busy. Was given my first $20 off $100 card of the season. Have still never gotten a bounce back card-ha. Think I'm shopped out, despite the great promo.

  4. I love the fringe shell. I couldn't resist and bought all three colours! I am wearing the ivory today with a grey wool school boy blazer and I think it looks lovely! I hope you enjoy yours too. The little bit of sparkle in the ivory colour is nice for this time of year as well.

    1. That sounds gorgeous! If I dressed up more often, I totally could have gone for all three :)

    2. Did you find the festive fringe shell tts? Were the armholes low?

    3. I'm a busty size 10; usually a L in alpha sizes. The L was loose enough that I tried a M in store, but the medium was snug. I didn't find the armholes low; they were a smidge big in the L, but not a deal breaker.HTH!

    5. I am also a busty size 10 and I can concur with Wendy on the top in terms of sizing and the armholes. The medium was a little snug on me but the large was too loose for my liking. This is such a great top and the price is fantastic! I posted some photos of the top on my blog in a recent try on session here.

    6. @gowest. It was tts for me. I am a consistent small and the small fit well. I tried the xs and while it fit I found it a bit snug.

  5. I swung by Factory today and made my first purchases in a long time. It was 50% off sale which I haven't seen in ages, so I got the linen top with lace straps in white for $12 -- only 6 months until I can wear it! Also tried the wool dress with pockets, which I liked a lot in fushia, but the fit was off for me, too slim through the waist, which seems to be a common lament in the reviews as well. I also grabbed some sunglasses and a Caryn cardi for $15.

  6. I stopped by Lake Forest yesterday to try on a couple things and it was quite noticeable that most of the customers in there were making returns. The returned items were piled high behind the register and the SAs seemed irritated. I kind of slinked out of there without buying but I felt kind of bad for them.

I wondered how much of the poor financial results are heavy discounting and promos - but also related to returned items.

    1. I wonder if it's the result of the Thanksgiving black Friday promos, everyone has had time to try on and reject what they bought. What were the best items in the past year? Maybe we need to do a top ten best and worst as a J Crew year in review.

    3. So far the best of the year is the journey of Wellfedfred's pants, I'm rooting for their success!

  7. I stopped in to two different stores over the week but I can't find anything. I have a $25 promo card, but my store has nothing. I have ordered a few things online (velvet cami and a cashmere hat) but I can't use my $25 code with the 40% off codes. Very annoying. I hate to give up $25 off anything, but they have made it very hard to use this perk.
