  1. Reviews from the recent roll-out:

-Cable Pom-Pom Sweater, merino, natural. It's a thick sweater. I like the different knits, and the pom-poms are cute. It's hard for me to commit to an ivory sweater. Scared I might get it stained by something I can't clean. Also I know this sweater will pill. No matter how careful I am.
So back it goes. For $58, it's not worth keeping.

-Tweed Lady Jacket w/ Sparkly Trim: I wasn't sure if I'd like this jacket because of the three pocket design. Wow! The quality. For reference I'm 4'11, 36B. Ordered a 2. I can close the jacket (but better worn open IMO). The shoulders are a tad wide on me, and it's fine. The sleeves are 3/4 length; on me it ends on my wrists and I'm ok with that. The tweed has specks of royal blue, red, cream, taupe...
The three pockets are functional. The sequin is sewn tight. Well made. The only tiny thing I mind is the tweed getting caught on the sequin. Not sure if I want to keep it. But It's so nice though....

-Petite Velvet Cami in Amber. Tight in a P2. I couldn't put it on. I would probably need a P4. Still debating if I want to keep it. Had my share of velvet during the 90's; my goth/Betsey Johnson/Grunge look. Haha!

-Cluster Drop Earrings: So pretty. Darn. It feels a little heavy. My ear lobes stretch when wearing it. Back it goes. Wish I could keep it.

    1. I'm laughing at your velvet cami/'90s grunge description. Those velvet spaghetti strap shift dresses...there used to be stores in Manhattan that sold clothes for $10. I got a lot of crappy, cheap dresses in there and specifically got a red velvet one a few sizes too big to hide my pregnancy (from my boss). I wouldn't want to wear that again.

  2. Most likely will hold on to the tweed jacket.

  3. The sale section has some new nice additions to it this morning! The 40% off has been updated with a new code as well.

  4. I recently changed jobs & I am up & on my feet a lot more than I was at my last job. That said, I have to sing the praises here for the good old Martina wedge. I have eight pairs & they have been my new go-to in terms of comfort, overall chic-ness & walkability. I miss them; I wish they'd bring them back in new colors / textures!

    1. I'm with you on the Martina's! Great looking, comfy, stable and a good height when you are on your feet a lot. I wear them constantly and have nightmares about what I'm going to do when they wear out. The Factory version is mostly plastic construction so those aren't an option for me.

    2. More love for the Martina over here; the first iteration anyway. My sister jokes that I have a problem but when you find a pair of heels that are comfortable to wear all day, you definitely should buy them in all the colors your heart desires. Ruffles, find yourself a good leather cobbler and bring them the shoes before they are completely worn out. I've already had my gray suede ones revived with new soles and a professional cleaning.

    3. @Ruffles I ordered the Factory ones in the calf-hair leopard print earlier this week. They're real calf-hair so I have hopes that they'll be decent quality! I missed out on the retail version.

    4. +1 for the Martinas. I probably have five pairs and every time I pull them out I remind myself to wear them more :)

    6. I always kind of forget about them, and then I'm pleasantly reminded how comfortable they are when I pull them back out. Wish I'd sized up on the Cabernet patent pair-they are a bit less comfortable than the suede, but really are versatile.

    7. Thanks for the tip, Dksa! Great idea to contact a cobbler now before they are too worn.

Taylor, report back on the Calf Hair Sylvia's! I do like the suede version of those!

  5. A holiday gift from J. Crew came in the mail today. Anyone else? I won't spoil it in this post, but don't read replies because I'll say what it is below if anyone wants to know. I really like it though!

  6. I LOVE J Crew's Liberty print shirts. They make me so happy! Just got an email from Liberty of London announcing arrival of new fabric prints. I wish J Crew would make more Liberty print items, as I would definitely purchase them.
