This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)

ReplyDeleteWednesday, I think.
ReplyDeletecurrent promo ends tonight...anyone know about tomorrow ? new arrivals wed?
DeleteI'm pretty sure it's tomorrow. Pinterest says April 19.
Deleteokay....tomorrow not wed ? C
DeleteI went to factory and left empty-handed. Blah.
ReplyDeleteFactory has been horrible lately!
DeleteI agree....terrible. C
DeleteI did find two cute 100% cotton tops at the Factory store a few weeks ago. Unfortunately a lot of the clothing is still pretty flimsy and poor quality. Miss the days of finding merino wool and silk at Factory. I'm glad I kept some of the silk tops I bought from there long ago.
DeleteSix days since receiving a shipping notice for my most recent JC order and tracking status still indicates "order processed, ready for UPS, left at UPS mail innovations". Should I be worried?
ReplyDeleteThis happened with one of my packages last week. The tracking never showed anything beyond what you are seeing. It just showed up one day though so hopefully yours will too.
DeleteCall J.Crew. Every once in a while, an order I made gets "processed", but never makes it beyond that. It hasn't happened with J.Crew, but with other retailers. It usually signifies some glitch in processing. If the item is still available, J.Crew should re-order it for you at the price you paid and re-ship it.
DeleteI just received the "your order has shipped" email for an order placed early April 11th. I was so worried that I'd be getting the "we wish we made enough" email instead. Can't wait until the package arrives!
DeleteTo clarify, by "processed", I mean that a UPS or FedEx label is created, but there is never any activity beyond that in the online tracking. If it's from a store, the item may have been pulled but never made it to UPS. If it's from the distribution center, there was probably some other interruption. Good luck!
DeleteCobalt, I had the same experience with UPS Mail Innovations recently. Like Jessf mentioned, the tracking wasn't helpful at all. I just looked and I recieved the shipping notice Friday, April 8 and the package was delivered on Friday, April 15. Hopefully, you will recieve yours soon!
DeleteSorry about the 2 "receive" misspellings...
DeleteAnd just in case, given the Daly, protect your right to price adjustments by taking screenshots....
DeleteOf course that should be delay.
DeleteThanks everyone! I just got home & found my order arrived today. Guess I should have been more patient. Got the stretch #2 pencil skirt in (of course) cobalt. Wonderfully deep, rich color. That's what keeps me coming back to the Crew!
DeleteI'll be making a return tomorrow at Madewell, and will head to J.Crew to check out the new stuff. There are a few things I want to see IRL, that i like from the style guide.
ReplyDelete-Classic Popover in Striped Cotton Gauze (blue or red)
-Collins Loafers in Coastline navy (has anyone tried these? Are they comfy than the Biellas?)
-Fringy Tweed Jacket
-Canvas Pointy Toe Espadrilles
-Point Sur Sailor Jean
-Denim Button Front Dress
-Gazebo Pant in petite
-Midi in Polka Dot (I don't know about silk in the summer...wish it was made in linen instead)
-Button-Front Midi
@JSR I have the Collins loafers in red and tortoise and find them to be extremely comfortable - I only have the calf hair Biella's as comparison and think they're comparable. The only thing I'm disappointed in with the Collins loafers is they seem to be stretching out more than my other loafers. I am admittedly hard on my feet and do not have narrow feet but after wearing both pairs a few times they've stretched more than I would have liked...I liked that they had a narrower silhouette but the shorter top part of the shoes I think is lending to them stretching out. Not sure if anyone else has had the same experience with these shoes. I'm going to try an insert with them and hope they don't stretch any more.
DeleteThanks, Anne! I own the Biellas in patent. I've only worn it once, and didn't like it. It was stiff and I knew that it would take a lot of breaking in...and a lot of blisters. :-(
DeleteI have slightly wide feet, too, with narrow heel. It sucks because if I size up, the shoes slip off, If I size down it would be too crammed for my wide feet. Oy!
I'll try both 5 and my true size of 5.5
I got rid of my Biella black patent loafers. They really hurt, even just at the try-on stage, and I think I had the right size. Maybe they're better on a narrower foot. Haven't tried the Collins loafers yet.
DeleteDumb question but I bought some sale stuff in store last week. Receipt doesn't say final sale so I can return right? I thought the sales associate said final sale but I can't remember. Thanks.
