This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
No. Waiting for new arrivals next week.
ReplyDeleteBut... I do have a 15% off code for anthropologie if anyone is interested.
Jselnick at gmail
code has been claimed
Deletesame...no. sale % too low for me to bother. waiting on new arivals.
ReplyDeleteNo visit for me...still have a few orders rolling in from the 30% off sales(which I subsequently had adjusted to 40% off). If I go, it'll be to make a few returns but not likely.
ReplyDeleteI am also waiting for new arrivals...I'll be in Manhattan next week so looking forward to checking them out at one (or two) of the NYC stores!
Oh, how fun, Anne! I go to the store on 5th Ave and 18th the most, though I think the Columbus Circle one is quite nice as well. I don't know if you've been before but the 5th Ave one has a lot of cool stores nearby -- Anthro on the same block, Madewell a few blocks away, Banana on the way there, Ann Taylor, etc. It's five blocks of happy shopping!
Delete@TM93 thank you! I have been several time and that's my favorite Crew to visit (for all of the other reasons you mentioned!)At some point I'd like to check out the Collection store too, we'll see how much extra time I have :)
DeleteThere's a collection store?
DeleteI believe that the full-on Collection store is at 1035 Madison Ave. (btwn 79th and 80th). If you want to see the very newest items, you may want to head down to the store at 250 Vesey St (Brookfield Place Mall), which is the new concept store (moved from NJ).
DeleteThanks, Gina, I didn't know about either of those stores. I'll have to check them out if I get to NYC this summer.
DeleteI love the collection store at Madison & 65th - the staff is terriffic and will arrange to find sizes, deliver (free!) to your hotel, find things for you at other stores... All the things you hope for from JC but don't often get these days.
Delete@Gina and @wellfedfred thanks for the store advice! :)
DeleteWill go but just for returns & adjustments. Will get final round of packages from 40% off sale today. Fingers crossed the Collection wide stripe embellished shirt (love the skinny stripe version of this shirt) and Sloan plaid D'orsay flat from holiday work.
ReplyDeleteI think that the Sloan glitter D'orsay is one of the most comfortable shoes that I own!!! I hope that you have good luck with the plaid one!!!
DeleteNot planning on visiting the store this weekend. Was just there and had a several returns. My VPS sent along 4 previews from the new style guide which I posted on my blog here: http://bichonluvrscloset.blogspot.com/2016/04/four-looks-from-next-j-crew-rollout-on.html
ReplyDeleteThese are not really my style, but I'm sure I'll find some things in the next rollout that are! How about you??
I adore that striped sweater dress! J.Crew of yore.
DeleteNo visit for me. Go Vols on Saturday and Blue Angels on Sunday in the great state of Tennessee!!!! Oh Rocky Top, you'll always be, home sweet home to meeeeee.....I will however be sporting some J.Crew duds for both occasions.
ReplyDeleteNo visit for me either. I did receive the Daisy Tortoise earrings today though (I ordered them with the 30% off promo), but I'm thinking they are probably going back. They are quite cute and definitely not heavy to wear, but since I'm a brunette, and my hair is fairly long, they blend in too much. I don't wear my hair back very often, and that's the only way they would be noticeable. Like I said, they are very pretty and lightweight, just not a keeper for me.
ReplyDeleteOn another shopping-related note...for those interested, I've shared my weekend list of sales & deals from retailers around the web, as well as my personal picks from each store in this post. :)
I agree that the tortoise daisy earrings are adorable BUT hard to see if you wear your hair down!! I am a blond and like those with brunette hair they became nearly invisible once I put them on!! Like Melissa i found them to be lightweight (big plus in my books!!) and very feminine. Bummed that they didn't work for me.
DeleteI just received an email from J.Crew saying that they're offering an extra 40% off sale style in-store only this weekend.
ReplyDeleteDropped by the Bloor Street store briefly today (after a Kate Spade-a-thon at Winners). Extra 40% off sale, but slim pickings.
ReplyDeleteWow, what kind of Kate spade? I rarely find anything great at winners so this sounds exciting :)
DeleteJan, I've posted my tryons on my IG @poettodesign if you want to have a peek! Besides the dresses and tops I tried there was a variety of pants, skirts, cardigans also. Mostly black & white prints.
DeleteHi. I saw your Coach Snoopy bag on your IG. Did you get that recently at the Coach Outlet? I ADORE it!!
Delete@cagliari67, you look great in those pieces, great finds!
Deletecagliari67 - I agree with Jan! You look great in all those KS pieces! Congrats on such fabulous finds...gotta love it when that happens! :)
DeleteBeach Chic Girl, I got the Snoopy bag back in mid-February. I imagine it would still be available as it was part of a large and varied line of Snoopy-themed bags. Lots of colours and sizes. Worth checking for if you are anywhere close to a Coach Factory!
DeleteJan, Melissa - thanks SO much! I was so thrilled to find such a great little collection of KS. Still kinda regretting I put some of it back, in that way the Marshalls/Winners tv ads always show lol. But I think I got the right pieces for me! Love it when the shopping gods smile... :)
DeletePopped into a store quickly, they didn't have new arrivals yet. Sale was extra 40% but agree with others re: slim pickings.
ReplyDeleteOrdered the Collins loafer in alabaster that are being released. Going back... didn't even bother trying on, they look so cheap, stitching is poor, patent looks terrible.
ReplyDeleteDoing a store run later for returns. Received the metallic gingham popover, and am really disappointed. I'm not a fan of the fabric (brought a cheap raincoat to mind), or the fit on my body. Sad to return as I had high hopes for it (if anyone has tried it on and is looking for a 10, let me know, and I'll have it held for you when I return it. I would not recommend a send sale otherwise, if it would be final sale). Also returning the gingham tunic/coverup-it was ok, but arrived missing a button, and I'm trying to only keep things I love.

ReplyDeleteNo trip for me, but after four orders with the 30% off and free shipping do I need to visit the store?
ReplyDeleteHowever, I did snag a Jack Spade NY button down gingham at Winners for $20. Checked online and Nordstrom's was sold out; retailed at $148. Score!
Nice! I just love Winners, too. Last year I got a pair of Kate Spade wedge sandals there for $20, I couldn't believe it.
DeleteWinners has clearly got hold of a large shipment of KS/JS recently - I came across a motherlode in Toronto on Friday, as noted above! Now I want to check some other store locations...
DeleteOT, but Marimekko at Target is available today. Did anyone see it at a store yet? I wonder if it's nice.
ReplyDeleteHeading over there in about half an hour! :D
DeleteI posted some tryons on my instagram today. Account is : @shoppingcelle
DeleteShopping Celle, thanks for the photos! Cute stuff. I wanted to try the rashguard but they didn't have any (I went in to the store eventually). It was nice to see that the store wasn't emptied of all Marimekko like I assumed it would be. I've been nearly trampled trying to get a look at a few of their other collaborations so I went in later in the day this time. I ordered the terrycloth beach dress/cover-up to try, and I bought a few houseware things in the store. This was a great collaboration, although I wish they'd had more clothing (and more in cotton like you mentioned).
DeleteYou're welcome cate!
DeleteStopped by J Crew in South Hills and bought 2 garment dyed long sleeve pocket tees. I love these tops for their simplicity. Perfect for weekends when you want to look like you haven't tried too hard to look fashionable. Lol. I also picked up the neon peach summerweight sweater and the emerald pool linen cotton shirt at the Ross Park J Crew. Saw some of the new arrivals and aside from the ADORABLE Jackie in yellow gingham I didn't get excited over much else. I wanted to purchase the Cary mini wedge sandal in silver glitter, but the had not yet arrived at the store.
ReplyDeleteMaking yet another return, I did pick up the swarovski crystal necklace in antique gold for 30% off; had not seen online that they put one out in gold. I wear my silver one a lot; it's a great basic.
ReplyDeleteOT, Ann Taylor is having a cyber sale today and tomorrow, 50% off everything. You have to be selective and careful to check material, but that seems to be the new standard everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI visited yesterday and the local store had 40% off sale items. The SA told me they are expecting a big roll-out on Wednesday.
In the meantime, here are some sneak previews.
Nothing this weekend - my husband and I popped into our local store(CNY area) and they were deserted. Nothing caught our eye. We are heading down to NYC for our Spring Break cruise this weekend, but plan on spending Saturday in Paramus, NJ area - hoping to stop in to the stores there as well as the outlet in Woodbury. I'm hoping they have some fun items for us as well as our 10 year old son.
