JCA "Help Style Me!" Weekly Post

This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this post) says it best, "You know, that thing you bought because you love it and you keep pulling it out and then putting it away without wearing it?"

Please share your J.Crew item (either that you own or are thinking about getting) that you would love help creating an outfit with.

    I'm looking for a dress (retail or factory) to wear to a wedding in early June. I bought a sassy pair of white pumps by Sam Edelman and I would love to wear them to the wedding. I'm a little backwards- I usually buy the dress and then the shoes to match, but these pumps seriously "sparked joy" for me! The wedding will be at a country club in Bucks County, PA. I would love a recommendation in black or navy, but open to suggestions since it will be June and I should probably wear color *eye roll* Thanks!

      maybe something like the HEIDI DRESS IN WATERCOLOR SILK CHIFFON (item c9362) in either color?

      or FACTORY STRIPED ORGANZA DRESS (item e9826)... which isn't blue but it seems like a pretty party dress to me.

      Otherwise, my true-to-me suggestion would be to buy a simple black (or navy) dress that fits you fabulously, pair it with your white shoes and some statement jewelry. I love changing up an outfit with different shoes and accessories. Add however much bling is necessary.

      Love the idea of strapless for a summer wedding....channeling Julia Roberts. The Marbella dress (B7674) will give you options for a solid in navy or black or the watercolor silk chiffon (C9349) mentioned by Miss JR if you want to add color with a print. Hair up with some lovely statement earrings or a necklace & you're ready!

      Thanks for all of the suggestions. It is an evening wedding. I really like the Heidi dress and paneled geometric dress. I love the strapless, but I'd rather not because Asians frown upon chest/shoulders showing (but don't bat an eye to shorts with a 2' inseam lol) and this will be a conservative crowd.

    What are your thoughts on the Drapey pants in Polka dot (E9426)?
    It is poly and lined (reviews say a "nice" poly and overall, positive)
