Weekly Share: Other JCrew-like Retailers

This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like Anthropologie, LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)

If you have recently encountered items that are similar to J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including experiences with certain merchandise pieces, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. Outfit ideas on my blog for some GAP new arrivals that I like here, and Banana Republic items here.

I also like the GAP Modern stripe boatneck tee (size up) as an alternative to JC's pricier version.

  5. I have to say, after a recent trip to the UK, I'm obsessed less with J Crew and more with Joules. http://www.joules.com

  6. I was very surprised to see that Madewell's archive boots are marked down to $129.99, with a full size run in both colors. Then I read the reviews - they're largely negative, stating that Madewell changed the fit (now too slouchy at the ankle) and the leather (flimsy, cheap feeling) from the original Archives. Ugh!

  9. We recently had an H&M open up in Missoula, so I decided to check out their new arrivals online to see if a road trip might be warranted. I've shared my personal picks on my blog today: Now at H&M: New Arrivals & Free Shipping on Orders of $50+ Take a Peek at My Personal Picks. The last time I was in one of their stores was several years ago when I lived in Florida. I'm surprised to see that they are now offering a mix of mid to higher quality items, and a lot of natural fabrics, too. Check out my post if you get the chance. :)
