  1. Wearing a pair of Martie pants today - comfortable and flattering. These are fabulous pants - it took a few wears for me to get used to the high waist but it's fine. The fabric is a perfect mid-weight with a nice amount of stretch. I'm also wearing the cosmos cluster necklace and bracelet and think they look great.

  2. I was happy to visit a J. Crew Factory store and see that almost the entire store was 50% off. This puts prices in line with on-line pricing. Items that were not 50% off were clearly marked, and even those were 30% or 40% off.

I'm really liking the Artist Tees as an alternative to the retail store Perfect-Fit long sleeve tees. The Artist Tees are a little more body-skimming and certainly cooler to wear in our ever-changing PNW weather. Selection was somewhat limited, so most of the Fall colors are still best found on-line.

Also really loved the J. Crew Factory Long-Sleeve Stripe Boatneck Tee (on the receipt, the shirts are referred to as "Interlock Stripe Tee" ). The texture of these fall somewhere between the heavier classic St. James Bretons and the St. James Minquiers 10 (lighter cotton) - so for some reason I felt justified in buying them LOL. 100% cotton and truly long-sleeved (yay!). The fabric makes it a little difficult to easily roll up the sleeves, but you can always size up for a more casual look and the tees won't look too wonky, like the St. James ones do if you get the larger size. Bought the olive and the red stripe as I, too, am afflicted with the "stripe-sick" disease :).

    1. Hey there! Fellow PNWer here. Which Factory store are you going to? Did they have a good selection of shoes? I am hoping to find the zip booties there. :)

    2. Hi Alicia! I was at the Woodburn Outlet in Woodburn,OR. I thought their shoe selection was pretty good, but I would call ahead and check to make sure they had your style and size in stock, since sometimes they get swamped on the weekends. I went during the week when it was pretty quiet :)

  3. J Crew Customer Service is always great with any questions or requests. I got an email from a new VPS and I usually don't work with them. But I wanted to try a Collection item that is marked final sale, so I figured I would call and ask them to waive this time. Jennifer emailed me back, I called her and she placed the order, waived shipping and final sale. I hope the blouse works out but if not good to know I can return it. So thank you, Jennifer and J Crew Customer Service.
