  1. Has anybody seen the reviews on Madewell's site of the Archive Boots this year? Ouch!

    1. It sounds like they're really different now. One person liked them, the rest thought they were a mess.

    2. Not surprised, the Madewell footwear has been declining in quality each year. My first pair of Madewell shoes are all leather, including the soles, but now all the footwear has synthetic soles and the leather quality keeps getting worse it seems. Same thing with JCrew. The made in Italy biella loafers now have synthetic soles when just last year they were still all leather. I'm glad that other consumers are voicing their disappointment, but I wonder if and when it will make a difference. I would hate for Madewell to go the same route as JCrew with declining quality, because one of the main reasons I shop Madewell is the generally good quality.

  2. No. None of the items I'd like are included in this promo.

  4. I am really considering placing an international order for the Leather-Inset Ponte Dress and the Landscape Cardigan during this promo. Does anybody have any comments about the fit of either of these items? It would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Hi Elise -- I sized down one in the landscape cardigan. Review in this post on Gigi's Gone Shopping. It's still very warm here, so I haven't worn the cardigans. I got the tan color & the green. Love the shades. I didn't see/try the dress. HTH

  6. I took the plunge and decided to try a jumpsuit and the flared overalls. I ordered them through Nordstrom and received price adjustments to match the promotion prices at Madewell.

I am only 5 ft, so I hope the overalls do not look ridiculous on m

  7. Did pick up the Lydia in Metallic in this promo. Fit was true to size, I liked the metallic is somewhat muted and think they will be a good fall through summer flat. It is like the D'Orsay in both Madewell and J Crew but I found the D'Orsay at J Crew very uncomfortable. I will wear them around the house to make sure they are comfortable, since there are mixed reviews

  8. I really wanted to grab the Fleet Jacket in meadow green in a size Small or Medium but they sold out. I bought this jacket a few months ago, returned it and now I am regretting that decision.
