The items in the top image are as follows: (1) Schoolboy Blazer; (2) Toothpick Jean; (3) Silk Blouse, and (4)Sloane Pumps. It is a pretty basic outfit- but it is also pretty classic.
Moreover, "thanks!" to A (in this post) who shared the following tidbit with us this past weekend: "At my store they also mentioned that new arrivals will be out on Thursday and handed out coupons for 20% storewide starting the 17th. I think it ends the 28th but can't remember."
Can't wait to see the rest of the August roll out from J.Crew! Even though the temperatures are crazy hot where I am, I am excited to see what Fall has in store for us.
What are your thoughts? Do you know when the newest arrivals are expected to be available? Are you looking forward to the upcoming new arrivals?
Thanks, Slastena :). I like that classic, too, Alexis. A mgr told me vps-ers will be able to offer 25% off of $150+ but the details weren't clear. At all. The SA listening in seemed unclear as well. Will report when there is more specific info.
ReplyDeleteThere were new cuts online yesterday, 7/15. Check them out at the top of the Irl Pic Guide.
Whoops! Sorry, Alexis, I was referring to the factory store and not retail. But to follow up with details, the card says 20% off $100+ and does run from 7/17-28.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I received a call from my closest factory store yesterday saying new arrivals would be out on Wednesday. Fingers crossed that they will show up online the same day!
OT: There was a large update to the sale section this morning with new promo-priced items & several new markdowns including the tortoise flower necklace - $99.99, Collection Liberty topcoat in Phoebe floral - $369.99, & Collection embroidered neon floral skirt - $169.99. I'll have the rest of the list up on my blog in just a bit. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI would like to take a moment to welcome the Stovepipe Trouser in Stretch Wool, which is offered for fall in black, navy and grey. My blazers thank you, my sweaters thank you, my vests thank you, and I thank you.
ReplyDeleteLOL Fred.
DeleteYour cold ankles, that are just now beginning to thaw from winter, thank you most of all!
Yay! Fall is my fave!
ReplyDeleteOT: if anyone knows about Ratti capri in store size 8, let me know.
ReplyDeleteGrazie, grazie.
Ciao.
Sandra
Can only reply.... saw some images for August... lots of beading, cashmere, and some high prices! Having said that, there were still a few pieces that are really nice.... trench dress, love it!
ReplyDeleteForgot to say... some BEAUTIFUL Crew prints but on VERY short skirts and dresses :(
DeleteHi Milljcrew :)
DeleteHi Gigi! Hope all is well :)
DeleteThanks for the preview! I am always so excited for fall at J. Crew!
ReplyDeleteThis happens to me every year ... by mid-July I am tired of looking at summer stuff (and sale section, I'm talking to you!) and half of my recent acquisitions still have the tags on. It's also 95 degrees in the shade, but I am still starting to dream of tweedy Schoolboys and (season appropriate) cashmere.
LOL-I can relate. I recently bought myself the navy wool schoolboy (on eBay) for my birthday! It will be at least 3 months before I can wear it here, but I'm so much more a fan of cold weather clothing in general. A navy fleece hoodie arrived from the Crew a few days ago (the tan color has popped back for $50this morning pre-code if anyone is interested).
DeleteWendy lol I just ordered the Factory gray striped hoodie :)
DeleteHa-great minds!
DeleteI just finished the list of new Promo-priced items & markdowns...as I mentioned before there were a lot of new additions today. You can see the updated list here. Enjoy your day everyone! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting the photos. I can't wait to see everything--you have gotten me so excited!
ReplyDeleteQuestion--do I really need the tipped linen collection Schoolboy? I have the wool one. I have the dotted one from earlier this year. I have various non Collection linen ones . . .
I asked myself the same question but the tipped linen blazer looks quite pretty. It's not final sale so well worth the risk
DeleteI debated the exact same thing and went ahead and got the tipped one and LOVE it!! Really nice for spring and summer. I think it is one of j.crew's nicer offerings as of late.
DeleteDepends where you live/work. I never end up wearing summer jackets as much as I think I will. It's too hot where I am to ever wear an outer layer thicker than a cotton cardigan.
DeleteThe new Sloan pump is really nice - can't wait until it comes out in suede, since I prefer that to patent.
ReplyDeleteBut did they really have to name one of their colors "faded barn"? What the heck!? Looks more like eggplant to me.
I love the Sloane pumps in leopard...tried to order, however, sold out...disappointed! Love that shoe! :)
ReplyDeleteI think they have the Sloan- leopard print at the F St., WDC store...??? Or at least there is a leopard print shoe that looks very much like the Sloan patent from the website.
DeleteI am looking forward to new arrivals - nothing has really caught my eye for the last few weeks.
ReplyDeleteLove the lighter wash denim...everyone was wearing it in Spain. Yay Fall rollouts, hope there are some good pencil skirt colors(hello navy) and some proper argyle.
ReplyDeleteReview of the maritime blazer in placed stripe & 4" chino shorts in this post.
ReplyDeleteIs the August catalog available in stores yet? Don't want to make the trek in this horrendous heat if it isn't there. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteAfter a second look, I must apologize to you, A Sister Thing...definitely not the Sloan that you are looking for. Good substitute, but definitely not the Sloan leopard print. F. St. store has the Everly and Valentina pumps in leopard print but not the Sloan. Thought they looked similar but I can now see the difference!
