"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know about the following email sent out this morning.
J.Crew is reminding customers to take an additional 40% off all sale items (no min) with promo code STYLE40.
Yey! This code expires August 4, 2013.
Plus, they added new items to the Final Sale section. Want to know which
ones just made a cut? Well, J.Crew makes it easy with a new feature: In
the "sort by" drop down, choose "new to sale". Hazaah!
Will you be taking advantage of this
latest promotion? What are your thoughts on this sale? What do you think
J.Crew should do to move out their Summer items?
Is the 'New To Sale' feature the same as the previous 'Relevance?' I can't tell.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I don't need any more summer stuff, so I am not tempted.
Would have been nice if they continued with the lower ($100) ship minimum or free shipping. As Rose said, don't need any more summer clothes and I'm certainly not spending $8.95 to ship a final sale item.
ReplyDeleteLadies a couple of new fall items made the sale today..
ReplyDeletePlease J Crew, put the Tilda on sale already. The Petite Oxford disappeared from online last week but is back in all sizes. But I am not biting without sale and promo...
ReplyDeleteI'm with Shopalot, I need free shipping to bite on this one since I am not close to a store.
ReplyDeleteITA with the ladies above. I'm a little tempted by the boatneck tees and summerweight sweaters, but not enough to a) pay final sale; b) pay $8.95 shipping; c) wear them for another month or so before it's too cold here.
ReplyDeleteOT, and I apologize; I don't know where this question goes-- Where the *@#& is the Edie purse?!? I can't find it online at all except the Teeny Edie in Sale and the exorbitant Python Edie. Don't tell me they stopped making it!
ReplyDeleteemilybethzzz - I'm showing the Edie purse as sold out, this link. Could be pulled for the time being? You could call customer service or chat w/them online to ask about availability in-store & online.
Deleteemilybethzzz: The Edie purse is back online this morning in the final sale section for $189.99, but only in black and vintage violet.
DeleteI've been seeing it in Sale lately. Saw Black and another color this morning.
DeleteOh good! It's always been one of my "one day, I'll get one of those" items and I was unexpectedly disturbed when I couldn't find it, haha.
DeleteThanks, all. I knew I could count on JCAs to know what the story was. =)
Can anyone comment or review the cafe capri in organza. Did ou take your regular cafe capri size? How is the material?
ReplyDeleteAlso would love to here reviews on the Boy shirt in beaded chambray...I have way to many beaded, jeweled and chambray in my closet but this looks too cute!
ShopLV - I tried on the organza capris and they are TTS. The white were nice as the pockets weren't too see-thru. Thumbs up. HTH
DeleteAs I mentioned in the JCA reviews thread earlier this morning, there are a lot of new promo-priced items and markdowns today. I have them posted on my blog for those interested. :)
ReplyDeleteThe link to that post is here.
DeleteThe Drapey elbow-sleeve tee and Lillian glitter low wedges just went on promo this morning, btw.
DeleteThe free shipping on $100 is also gone, so now the minimum is back up to $175. If they really want to move the merchandise, they should at least offer free shipping/no minimum. Better yet, make it 50% off with free ship/no minimum, and the majority of their stock would be cleared out, more than likely.
ReplyDeleteAgreed FFM!
DeleteUck. I caved and bought a whole bunch of stuff this am, but don't feel too horrible b/c I know these are long term items, and they are mostly for fall/winter: barbour ferndown and quilted jacket (love barbour), the toscana tucker (have it in the cream and love, so I bought the black), liberty floral scarf (have it in june's meadow, bought it this time in the tresco floral), punk floral cashmere sweater.
ReplyDeleteMy only iffy item was the Authier Tom's Vest, which was originally $530 and which I got for $162. I just have to see what the fuss is about this brand -- really, a vest for $530???
I bought stuff too--the painter tees, which I will wear in winter since buildings in NYC are always overheated. I love the boatnecks. And I think I got some striped thing--can't remember.
ReplyDeleteI do just want to say that last weekend there were so many popbacks. The Biennial Medium Satchel in those three green colors sat in my shopping cart for an hour before I decided to let it pass. Ditto for two pairs of Valentinas. I don't know if stock is going from stores to the warehouse, but I'd be curious if there will be another major update this weekend.
It looks cute, especially with the 40% off. But…it will be awhile before you see me in a sweater. It will be 100 degrees here for another month plus.
