Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. The Vancouver store is having an in-store event this weekend, so I am planning to be there, of course.

    1. Me too! Haven't been for a couple of weeks now, interested to see if they've redone the layout of the displays.

    2. HEY Whats the in store event in the van store? THANKS

  2. I'm still hoping to make it to the J.Crew in Tampa before I head back home later this weekend.

OT: There are new Promo-priced items this week, so I have updated the list. You can see it here. :)

    1. The JC in Tampa typically has a pretty limited selection and the sale section is usually fairly small, but please let me know if you see any great deals! :)

  3. Visited Barton Creek (Austin,TX) yesterday to make some returns and ended up keeping the chambray top (#65547, 3/4 slv, boatneck,t-shirt style top) that was originally marked $110 (and still is online!) as it was ringing up $69.99 plus I got my daughter's college discount!

    1. Thank txmom! I've been asking about the chambray top at my Ohio b&m for a few weeks now. They keep telling me "it should with our next shipment." I called around and found it today at a larger store at the promo price. Because of your info I saved about $30! I appreciate the info!

  4. I have a few returns and I'll take a look around but I'm not planning on any purchases. Who knows, though!

  5. Anyone else get an email about a "first perk" for 10% off and free shipping? One time use. Expires July 17.

    1. Thanks for the tip - I'm going to look out for this! Do you know if the 10% is attached to your account? I tend to get JC emails later in the day than others do so I'm wondering if I should go through the ordering process and see if I see the discount... or is it a one-time-use code that they send?

    2. It's a one time use code. I have the credit card account linked to my email. I've had the card for ages so I don't know if this is a random lottery thing or if it's for all card holders or what. But, I will not look a gift horse in the mouth and I will surely be taking advantage of it. :)

    3. Ha! You know what I just thought of? The wording on the email sounds like it was meant for someone who just opened a card. "we think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" and "first perk" etc. I always get emails for a woman with a similar name and email address. I wonder if she just opened an account but I got the email! Finally, a jcrew mistake in my favor!

  6. Already hit my B&M twice this week - and purchased not one but 3 navy blue and white dresses because I clearly have issues - so I'm going to try to stay out of the stores this weekend. Still checking the website each and every morning for a full price promo as I have $395 worth of catalog/online-only items in my cart and I am dying to order them... it does seem like a long time since the last FP promo, no? My biggest issue is that keeps me from just ordering the stuff now is that 2 of the items I want are priced $3 above the tax threshold for NYC ($115 is the threshold where clothes and footwear become taxable at 8.875% vs. 0% for items under $115), so right there that's an extra $17+ I'll end up paying in tax and that I can't rationalize. Please, please JC - throw a FP promo our way!!

  7. OT: There are some J. Crew new arrivals on Net-A-Porter this morning that I haven't seen elsewhere:

I'm intrigued by the tweed jacket!

  8. My store is doing Mothers Day even tomorrow but I don't think I'll make it and I know they will have new arrivals (June rollout) next Tuesday so I will probably wait for that. I the meantime I posted reviews of several dresses HERE

  9. I wanted to but the Toronto store is supposed to get a shipment on Sunday night so I think I'll go early next week instead.

  10. I got hooked on the % off promos that were so frequent last month. Another please! :)

  11. ajc, what is the mother's day event? Do they have extra % off?

    1. I don't think so. Just refreshment and you can create a wish list for your PS and send your husband or kids to shop for you.
Not enough to entice me but whatever.

  12. I am looking for the Nolita denim jacket in a size S. I almost had one this morning but my computer froze and when I got back online it was gone from my cart. Any leads appreciated!

    1. If you are referring to the Nolita jacket in Great Lakes wash, the small is back in stock this afternoon.

    2. Thanks TXgirl14 - it's gone now. Waa! They are doing a WWFIFY search on it. I hope it works :P

    3. I'm looking for small or medium. Wah!

  13. I just got an email that says "Up to 40% off the entire site" for J Crew Factory, but most of the things I would buy from factory aren't marked down at all. Since when does "entire site" not mean everything? Haha

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well I guess technically it's a factual statement - percentage off is somewhere between 0 and 40 for all items :-) But I agree - it's really shady marketing practice.

    2. Cate got it right, plus we all know whoever runs those promos can't do math.

  15. Stopped by today to see if the Linen cable-knit sweater in the original colors was on sale for the same price as online..no still $54.99. Did notice that the Ladies Timex watch on sale for $59.99 and was told they are discontinuing the watch and straps...bummer I love mine and getting new straps. Picked up the Poppy King lipstick for $7.99.

    1. I'm so sad about that. I love mine for when I don't want to wear the mens' version. I am busy stocking up on the leopard print calf hair straps. Thats' the only straps I wear mine with.

  16. Does anyone know if the cerise ikat popover is on sale in stores, and if so, how much is it, and is it worth the sale price? Also, with such sizing inconsistencies, does it run in size just like the fanfare popover from this season? TIA

    1. I saw the Cerise Ikat Popover today at the Grand Rapids store but unfortunately it was still full price. I didn't get to try it, so I can't comment on the fit, but it seemed a bit brighter in person than the online pic and is the usual thin silk/cotton fabric used on Perfect shirts. HTH!

    2. Ooooooo, I have that popover and LOVE IT!!! I have received so many compliments on it, especially paired with white pants or skirt. I find it TTS/ same fit as other JC popovers. Yes it is thin, but feels like a dream on and drapes lovely :o). It was still fp in my local B&M this weekend. HTH!

  19. For anyone shopping in Georgia, the Mall of Georgia J. Crew is now carrying men's so they have a substantial amount on sale- more so than the Lenox and Perimeter stores.

  21. I got a copy of the June catalog at my b&m and it's fab!! Really nice styling.

  22. Love the cover- finally a location shoot and a group picture. Is it as nice inside, Jruby18?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I thought it was very nice. Not a ton of location spots on the inside. Or if they are, it's hard to tell. But I thought the styling was a lot "cleaner" and less hodge-podge. Really pretty.

I am planning on going to see the summer roll out next week. I am trying to be good.

  25. Just came back from the Vancouver store. Super 120's suiting pieces are 30% off, Perfect Fit Tees are $16.50, Big Apple Tunic Dress is $89, No. 2 Pencil in Cotton is $109. No sale section, so you have to poke around to see what's FP and what's been marked down. Was told new arrivals will debut tomorrow.

  26. Anyone know if the new summer roll-outs are going to online next week too?

    ReplyDelete
  27. @laura- I was told that the summer/June rollout will be online May 17. HTH
