  1. In praise of the J. Crew returns department…they always process my returns very quickly - much faster than most other retailers, they send me an email letting me know it has been processed right away, and they have convenient prepaid UPS and USPS labels. Plus, they always let me ship back items from different orders together and only charge me for one return.

  2. Great factory store sales going on! 40% off a lot, plus 20% coupon (emailed) on top of that. Happy for the LOVEIT promotion as well.

  3. I was fortunate to get the Tillary Bucket Bag in dark poppy and it's a lovely deep, saturated red - deeper than the flame Edie, which I also love. The leather is supple and while I am a little concerned about the thickness of the leather, the fact that it is not heavy (as a bucket bag) is a great plus. The bag is nicely lined and goes with so many things - navy, khaki, denim, orange, etc. It holds a great deal without making me look like a pack mule :)

I also love that I got this at 30% off list price on popback!

  4. I had written a few weeks ago about an order screw up from J. Crew where they sent me the totally wrong item, I had ordered a pair of Britten Boots at a phenomenal sales price and when I opened the very small box it was a pair of flats. I wrote a letter to the CEO and stated the issue and how I felt since these boots were nowhere to be found that they should honor the price of $62.99 on a similar item. I wasn't expecting a reply but actually got a call from a nice gentleman in Virginia who said Mickey got my letter the day before and they would be happy to honor the price and apologized for the mistake. I really had my heart set on a pair of boots and chose the Booker boots in chocolate which were on sale for $250 from their $360 retail, they not only honored the $62.99 price but shipped them overnight for free. I'm still looking for my Britten boots but very happy with the outcome. I know others have complained about getting the wrong items etc., I would suggest writing to a level above the standard customer service people. I don't know 100% if he actually read my letter himself but someone else at the top certainly did and acted on it very quickly.

  5. Received my order from the latest roll out yesterday. Really like the drapey elbow-sleeve tee in neon orange! Looks to be sold out on-line already, so glad I bought this when I did. LOVE the double-strand seahorse necklace!! It came very well packaged and looks great with my vibrant flame minnies. I'm also loving the cafe capri's this year! Once I finally figured out my correct size (a petite size ended up being the best), I've purchased three or four pairs in fun, bright colors. I always get lots of compliments!

One thing that I don't love from my order is the t-shirt dress in dizzy anchors. It was really disappointing in person. Very, very thin material and the cut was too body-conscious that it ended up being unflattering. I'd say way over priced for what it is . . .would have been more accurate at $45. Hope that helps!

  6. Bought the Hutton pants on sale on Monday. I called on Wednesday to see if they would do a 30% price adjustment for me with "LOVEIT" and they did! I was so surprised and very happy. Had to share my good experience.

  7. I had great customer service from my local (Cincinnati) J.Crew Factory store. I was searching for a turquoise bubble necklace (factory version) and called my local Factory. They were out, but the sweet girl who I spoke to offered to take down my phone number and track it down for me. She called me less than an hour later telling me my bubble necklace was on hold and waiting for me in a store in Wisconsin. She gave me the store phone number, I called and gave my information, and it was sent right away. Thanks J.Crew Factory! I wore it for the first time today, check it out on my blog:

  9. I bought the Tippy sweater last sping right after I gave birth and wore it once then stored it for the summer. When I went to go wear it for only the 2nd time about 2 months ago I realized there was holes in the belly button area (hate that, it happens with every t-shirt I buy at J. crew). So I dug out the tags and receipt and brought it to my local store and low and behold they found the color (which had been changed slightly this winter) and sent it to my house with overnight shipping. They obviously allowed me to return the one with holes.
