The page on the left features a pretty Sweater Jacket ($200.00) and Funnelneck Winter Coat ($425.00). The collars on the outerwear looks amazing!
The page on the right features what I thought was the Perfect-Fit Mixed-Tape Cardigan (Item 29176; $49.50). However, it is not upon closer look. Incidentally, I love the Perfect-Fit Cardigans. They are super comfortable, easy to wash, and maintain their shape. However, I did not like this latest version. The pockets stuck out weirdly for me (making me look like I have extra bulk on the hips where the pockets are). Moreover, the "doubled grosgrain tape" along the edges just made the cardigan look unfinished.
What are your thoughts on the sweater jacket featured? Do you think you order it? Do you own or tried on the Perfect-Fit Mixed-Tape Cardigan? If so, please share! :)
also a coat in Bazaar on page 177 from JC. Wish either of them were available.
ReplyDeleteisn't the $425 coat very similar to the bonbon coat?
ReplyDeleteIs Jennifer Aniston wearing the Perfect-Fit Mixed-Tape Cardigan? Can't really tell from the pic...
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced it's the perfect fit mixed tape cardigan... where are the pockets?
ReplyDeleteJason and Cecilia & Kaitlyn: You are right! :) On second look its not the Perfect Fit Mixed-Tape. I believe it was because of the edges of the top on Jennifer Aniston looked like the doubled grosgrain tape edge of the Cardigan. However the cardigan has a v-neck and Jennifer's top does not.
ReplyDeletecould she be wearing perfect fit henley? i got one this summer that looks just like that.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a henley too, not a cardigan.
ReplyDeleteI have the Perfect Fit Mixed Tape cardi in both the dark rosewood and bronzed twig. I am going to post this for MDPA on the "reviews" thread, but I love these cardigans! I think that they are a perfect "toss on and go" piece and sooo comfortable. I also am a fan on the grosgrain for its feminine appeal (but can see that some would find it to create an unfinished look...totally can see that). I wear XS/S and got these in XS finding this size roomy enough to put a tank underneath. Cotton has a soft substantial feel just like Perfect Fit tees do. LOVE. The dark rosewood is a beautiful fall color and looks wonderful with the Sequin Strip tank in ivory OR the Tissue Sequin tank in either pearl or heathered stone. The bronzed twig color looks smashing with the wisteria color. I plan on getting several more of these cardis when they go on sale although, even at FP ($49.50) I will get more than my $$$ worth out of them.
ReplyDeleteThe coat is cute but after the last FS promotion I definitely don't need any more coats.
ReplyDeleteMost of the items featured in the article look very similar to clothes already in my closet. The green pants look like some Gap pants I own. I recently bought a plaid shirt from Lands' End Canvas that is similar to the Etoile plaid shirt featured in the article, except I like the LEC shirt style better. And the MJ fairisle sweater looks a lot like the beautiful cashmere crew neck I bought from Lands' End a couple years ago except, again, I prefer the LE version. I guess this is the season to shop from my closet.
also a gorgeous JC tie-front blazer on net-a-porter... why don't they have this stuff on their site?

Yeah, Jennifer is definitely wearing a shirt, not a cardi. Does anyone know what it is? Maybe they haven't come out with it yet. I want one, but I think it's because she's wearing it! I'm a dork!
ReplyDeleteI love the tee. It looks like a Perfect-Fit Henley. Wish they had that still.
