Yes, it is that wonderful time!
A big "thanks!" goes t0 Rose (in this post), who is super nice to share with us that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code AWU32B. This offer expires 8/9/10.
P.S. I have noticed that other blogs & websites post J.Crew codes & coupons *after* this blog does. If you happen to get codes & coupons from the JCA blog & post them at your site, could you please give give a "shout out" to the JCA blog? This way more JCAs are inclined to share. TIA! :)
Incidentally, I was in my B&M last night and the sales assoc. said today (Sun.) would be the last day for extra30. In my store, 95% of the men's clearance had already been removed and shipped off somewhere, and a good half of the women's sale merch was gone as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to share that JC service reps do read the comments you add to the bizrate survey you can take after you submit an order, as long as you check the box that says 'yes, share with the retailer'. In 225 characters or less, I explained my issue from last week -- how I wanted my B&M to match not just the online sale price but the extra 30% off of it and they refused to do it.
Well, after I put that in the comments, a rep sent me an email and said she had credited more for the shipping charge for my online order, which was in the neighborhood of $11. So I thought that was nice of them.
And now I wish I had gotten the Abyss Blue shirt too. LOL!
I do have just a couple of things that I will be adding to my 'for sale' photo album tonight, so be sure to take a look at tomorrow's exchange! :-)
Elaine: Wow, that is awesome! What browser do you use? I have never gotten a pop-up Bizrate survey offer after being on Jcrew's site...I wonder if it has to do with me using Safari???
ReplyDeleteNot a coupon, but a little note from the Department of Every Little Bit Helps: J.Crew is on Ebates. This means if you start your browsing by gpoing to www.ebates.com and click thru to JCrew, 1% of what you spend will be mailed back to you. In a check. The site keeps a running total for you. The % you get back varies-- JC has been as high as 3%, and Target has been 6. Oh, and you can still use your coupons when you check out. Don't know how they do it but it seems to work.
ReplyDeleteAppGal; I use Safari also, and I usually get the survey. I ordered a pair of final sale shoes a couple of years ago and in my suggestion box in the survey, I suggested that shoes should never be final sale because it is impossible to tell if they will fit and you certainly can't get them altered. In what I imagined to be a curt tone- the response from the associate was- if you like them and want the option to return, then you should buy them at full price. Luckily they fit, but I have never purchased shoes from them again.
ReplyDeleteThe survey popped up for me twice and both times after i responded and said OK to share I got amazing personal responses from customer service. Felt like I was dreaming!
ReplyDeleteI use IE -- I don't always get prompted to take the survey, just sometimes. And I always say they need to reconsider basing shipping charges on basket size, because it's an idiotic way to serve customers. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIn somewhat related news, I was in Sears tonight (getting an exercise bike for my hub to help rehab his busted knee) and I checked out the Lands' end in-store ... pretty much every pieces of summer merchandise was reduced to $9.99! Women, kids, men -- dresses, swimsuits, accessories, shoes -- everything. Sadly there was nothing left in my size that I wanted. Lots of cute polos for the kiddies at $9.99 but I passed.
Just thought some of you might wants to check out your B&M in case it might have the same sale!
Cheers, Heidi!
ReplyDeleteIn case anyone is interested: Ann Taylor has Friends & Family starting tomorrow (Aug. 3-8) -- 30% off with code FRIENDS online. Free ship for >$100.
ReplyDeleteLa Belle Helene, I believe you can only use the 30% tomorrow if you have a cc. It starts Tuesday for non-cardholders. I'm excited b/c this weekend is our tax-free weekend, so I'll be stopping at Loft Friday morning (and hitting JC afterwards :D).
ReplyDeletewellfedfred-I have heard of Ebates, so thanks for giving it a vote of credibility. I just signed up but wish I had read your post before ordering a bunch this w/e! LOL (on closer inspection, I am surprised at how much I do shop online, so this should really add up to sumthin'!) Thanks again :-D
