"Thanks!" to AnneG who shared the following latest email from J.Crew Factory. The email announces that select new Holiday (say what? did they mean Fall?) arrivals are now up to 40% off at their Factory Stores.
Are you planning to visit a Factory Store to check out the latest Holiday (aka: Fall) collection? Are there any items you are hoping to purchase while there? If so, please share! :)
I'd like to see if a couple of cardigans and the boyfriend blazer are part of this sale, but I think I'll call first.
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to find much of anything at our factory outlet.
ReplyDeleteThis picture cracks me up! Where did she think she was going when she put on that full length, full body skirt? The opera?! When I think about chopping trees, I certainly don't think "biggest skirt I can find." :)
ReplyDeleteThe picture is ridic. Also, are they really going to have those poufy taffeta skirts at the outlet? They were about $800 at retail.... hm.
ReplyDeleteI will go to the outlet much later in the season when things are on clearance. Even with 40% off, I can't take their pricing which is usually about 5-10% less than retail prices.
Luckily I had not seen this posting before I visited a factory store today. I would've been disappointed if I was expected big discounts.
ReplyDeleteI was completely disappointed by the selection, quality and prices. I should preface my comments by saying that I am usually a big fan of the factory stores.
I went in search of a pair of boot cut jeans from the spring that are now my favorites. I tried on 4 pairs of the same size pants; they all fit differently, but none looked good.
I also tried on a cotton version of a merino sweater w/2 chiffon flowers by the neck that I bought in a regular store last fall. The cotton version looked so-so on, and as I rehung it on the hanger I noticed that the sleeves were completely wrinkled. It looked like I had slept in it. Certainly not worth the $69.50 original price.
There were some "Madeline" dresses in black and heather grey. They might be OK, as long you don't compare them to the original (which I loved). I think they were $119.
I did not see any poufy taffeta skirts!
I think I might make a visit next week. I agree that the outlet prices are ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteA couple of weeks ago, they had the promised metalliz tweed suit and I tried to take pics for the JCAs but my camera would not get the color right. As far as I can remember, it's really similar to the retail a couple years ago. The style number of the jacket is 19740. Sorry, I didn't get the skirt.
