ReplyDeleteI was up in the middle of the night with a restless baby and did some searching. The Abigail Borg dress came up and a liberty puffed but this morning they are not there when you search. Probably over the weekend they will be all loaded and you can search by item category (dresses, skirts, etc).

DeleteNo visit - but today I am wearing the Summer Friday’s Tee in red, white denim skirt w frayed hem and striped Cora’s. Such a simple outfit but I have gotten at least 6 compliments this morning! Maybe it’s just that the tee is so cute.

I worked at J Crew for a few years, and they would put videos like this on an employee website. Some of them were shareable, others were not. Some of them do make it onto instagram and facebook as well.
DeleteOT but Cheritheberry posted about tretorn on sale at lordandtaylor at a great price. I ordered the net in black and ivory and love them. Perfect for summer. For the price and how practical they are I might keep a spare. I don't expect them to be the most durable but they're cute, cool and comfortable. Two of my girls liked as well so I ordered extra. They're always needing/wanting new sneakers so I might even keep some for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you and your girls liked them, too! I got and am keeping the same colors. I did have to size down from my regular 7 to a 6.5, and quite possibly could have taken a 6. I have a 7 in the natural to return if anyone is looking. That really made me happy to hear Suz!

DeleteFWIW Madewell did call and email regarding my website issues. She told me they get a lot of complaints from ppl using iPads. I'd imagine most of us are on mobile devices these days and not shoppingmfroma desktop computer. She called at a not great time so I didn't even want to ask if my items were available.

DeleteNo visit for me this weekend but I was super excited to grab the Pull-on easy pant in floral-printed silk twill item #J1076. They are now sold out but have finally been marked down and the extra percent off applied making them $50. They have been popping back quite a bit so hopefully others will be able to grab them at a great price.

Delete@p banos, no actually! I have only posted a few reviews on Madewell! I am not sure what metrics were used by VC and J.Crew to select participants. Regardless, I am quite excited about the community!
DeleteOf course I didn't manage to get a pic, but I FINALLY wore my white wide leg linen pants (with the sailor buttons and lace up back) out to a birthday dinner. I paired them with the white linen Rhodes blazer, the drapey puffy sleeve blouse in black with white polka dots, black satin sandals with a wood platform heel and a skinny red silk scarf (that has black and white in it too). I admit I was a little "nervous" wearing almost all white, but my husband strongly approved and I saw my mom later on and she complimented it too.
ReplyDeleteI only wish the pants had belt loops as the waist is a little loose and they fall to my hips. I didn't want to size down because I didn't want them to be clingy on the hips.

DeleteFactory has some nice things: button downs, (stipe blue with roses and printed ruffle) and collared grey sweater( have navy version form last year), and grey suede Anya’s. They also have some sort of pants that look like Cameron - effortless slim crop.,. Does any know anything about these.... considering these.... but factory is hard to return and that makes me think twice....lol

DeleteI think some of the new items are out this morning but I'm not feeling it, too much 70's vibe for me with the jumpsuits and blouse styles. Lots of items that wouldn't work for the short waisted, and just plain short, pear shape I am. I think too without the catalog I lose that other way of looking at the items. The website, and the way the models are styled, don't tempt me into buying. I hope others find things to love. Maybe Brooks Brothers Red Fleece for me this fall.

ReplyDeleteI love some of the Abigail Borg prints. The only styles that might work for me are the skirt and the tank top. Without being included in the promo, I'll wait on these. I should have ordered the skirt when it first came out in the last roll out, as it was included in promo for the first day or two. I'm also interested in the Evie flats in seaweed, but while not "excluded" from promo, the % off does not apply. So while I won;t be ordering anything at full price, I am encourage that there are actually items to add to my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI bought all the Liberty items I was interested in but will wait for the Abigail Borg items to be included in the promo. I'm cautiously optimistic with this rollout! It's looking a bit more feminine, tailored, and colorful than before, and I placed my first substantial order in a long time. (Although, as much as I love Liberty everything, I do hope that J. Crew eventually will stop relying on collaborations as much for prints and start designing more of their own in-house.)

DeleteI didn’t order any Abigail Borg stuff since it was excluded from the promo. But I did pick up the liberty collared tippi, liberty skirt, a salut tee in red/white (though that was impulse buy - probably a return because I don’t need another graphic tee), and a lightweight tippi to try out. I like that the lightweight tippi has some cotton mixed in so I can hopefully wear all year. I get quite hot teaching but don’t always want short sleeves in the fall. I’m interested in the sequin Jackie in burgundy and navy and might pick that up still. Overall, some pretty styles and a positive move forward.

DeleteI bought the Liberty puffer jacket. I missed out on last year's version, plus this was included in the promo. I hope I love it. Yesterday I bought the Factory version of the quilted downtown field jacket online. I tried it on over the weekend in store. It's part of the Mercantile line and it was a surprise love when I tried it on. We'll see how it holds up over time.

ReplyDeleteThough I'm pleased with the new rollout, does anyone else find J crew's dresses rather matronly? I'm petite, so while these styles might look nice on fashion models, I look frumpy in these mid length shirtdress styles.
