This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
Has anyone tried the Wrap-tie jumpsuit in poplin? Item H7683 The reviews are somewhat inconclusive and I'm wondering if it's worth a try. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI tried it anf posted a review on my IG. If you go down 27 rows, middle picture. It has been pretty popular in store. HTH
DeleteThanks, Ina!
DeleteThere is a full size run of the rainbow stripe magic skirt over at Nordstrom. I love mine and have worn it a bunch already!
ReplyDeleteI think I’m going to snap up the leopard print sandals. With the code stacking the price is about $60 and that seems fair.
Anyone know the return window for online orders? I meant to return a coat from an April order and put it away in a shopping bag to grab on my way to work. But unbeknownst to me my housekeeper thought I was keeping whatever was in the bag and unpacked it for me. I just found it in my closet changing seasons and was like WHAT I THOUGHT I RETURNED THIS MONTHS AGO?? It still has tags (and the plastic garment bag).
ReplyDelete60 days...hope it was shipped in May?
DeleteActually I dug up the online history and it was an order from March 31 that shipped like April 2.
Deletelike so many JC experiences, it depends how sympathetic the person at the other end is. If all else fails, try for a store credit (and don’t forget to use it!).
DeleteAgree w/wellfedfred -it depends on who is processing your return. At my regular store, they don't say anything if it is a little late. The SA at a suburban store I visited made a comment that the computer was "yelling" at him that it is past the return window but don't worry about it. He processed the return anyway. Good luck - I hope it works out and you can return the coat!
DeleteThanks I'll give it a try. I didn't want to lug a coat into the city if I couldn't return it, especially in this heat, but looks like I should give it a try anyway and hope for the best.
DeleteLet us know what happens. What coat is it? Maybe someone here will be interested if you can't do a return?
DeleteI would never turn someone away if they were just over the grace period and apologetic.
DeleteI had a Madewell online order (Birks shoes) that only had a 30 day window for online order. I always thought it was also 60 for Madewell...I don’t know if it’s an exception for 3rd party brands being 30??? Good thing the sales lady accepted my return two weeks after the 30 days.
DeleteMadewells return policy changed a while ago to 30 days @JSR
DeleteIt's the 2008 Andover peacoat. If I can't return, I could keep it - I just need the closet space more than anything and this past spring I bought 3-4 coats bc of different size issues.
DeleteWell a peacoat is always stylish. Maybe you secretly wanted to keep it, so you forgot to return? Coats do take a fair amount of closet space!
DeleteI received my $24.65 white slim boyfriend jeans and they are too small. They fit like regular jeans, and are not boyfriendy in the least. I have at least 5 pairs of J Crew bf jeans, some slim, and this is the first time I have not been a 25. Reviews say they run large, so I am befuddled. I'll try on a 26 tonight and exchange or return.
ReplyDeleteGRR! I ordered my smaller sizes in the white boyfriend after checking the reviews. I think they will be delivered today or tomorrow. Hopefully one of the pairs fits! Let us know how the next size up fits. Thanks!
DeleteI ordered three sizes because I often disagree with reviews. 😂
Deleteyou ladies are smarter than I am, ordering multiple sizes. I mean...they FIT. There is nothing loose on them except from the calves downward.
DeleteI hate that,
Delete@SUZ! How did the move go?!?
DeleteINSANE. we had to do it all on one day to due inflexibility in both sides. Hard enough packing up a 5br house you've been in for twelve years, but we found out our seller waited until the last minute to ask for help and the house was filled. Her lawyer tried to help, our RE got her son to move stuff to the dump, they hired a debris removal company and we finally moved the last box in at 8pm. Husband was stressed because he agreed to work Saturday not realizing Saturday was 1AM. and I had to drive to meet my daughters at a tournament, but I was too late so I met them halfway at a hotel where the youngest and I spent the night so we could get to the tournament easier the next day. We set some things up in the house and walked around the neighborhood and it really feels like home. In spite of the drama and difficulty it's a great place and we will be happy here! We've been in the area for over 22 years and this is our third place and each has been a distinctly different neighborhood. I Know I'm oversharing. We have a lot of work but this house has some serious great bones and I'm thrilled.
DeleteI ordered two sizes of those boyfriend jeans as well - my usual 29 and a size down which I usually do in BF...but we'll see. The high rise white button jeans came as well as the shorts and they're both cute and fit in my usual 29. Do I need both? Probably not...bf jeans show up tomorrow.
DeleteI stopped in on my lunch today to return a bunch of stuff. Store is still overstuffed and my store was doing a swim "pop-up" which the SA explained was the result of their store hoarding swim returns for the past few months.
Suz, glad to hear you are finally in but sounds like it was quite a process! Hope all goes well as you get settled.
Suz: you’re a star. Moving is the worst! Ever since I got my company to pay for packing when moving I have refused to pack and move myself ever again. It’s an expense I’ll gladly part with, because the stress is just not worth it to me! Glad to hear the worst is over though and you’re enjoying the new place!
DeleteSuz, i’m out of breath just reading about your day!
DeleteI packed for weeks! And ive actually been purging for years. I felt like I was doing really well with the packing but I should have had a bunch of extra big boxes for all that last minute random stuff you find in the corners. That was killer. I did a lot ahead of time but I guess it's never enough. One tip that worked well for us—at the last minute I ordered color coded laundry bags for Our clothes and linens. As we unpack we know at a glance who's is what. I don't like keeping clothes in boxes for long but the laundry bags are fine and I even put all my nice coats on hangers in one.
DeleteI'm so glad to hear you were able to fit a walk in and it already feels like home, wonderful! That is really great. Wishing you many years of happy memories in your new home. <3
Deletewhen was the last time we had a % off sale? didn't a SA tell a JCA there was going to be one this past weekend? why give false info?
ReplyDeleteI asked an SA about promos once and they said they never know until the actual day of! so miss leading for customers.
when is the next roll out ? I dare to ask...as I bet no one knows.
The keep us in the dark too much....a few years back we all new what was happening and when. those style guides had me...counting the hours until it loaded....I miss my old J Crew.
opps! knew....not new.
DeleteReceived the seersucker Parke blazer that was mysteriously less than $25 the other day. It’s beautiful! My usual size fit perfectly with a cami under. Looking forward to keeping it at the office for last minute meetings and appointments.
