Ordered a couple of sale things that were reduced further (Mary Jane Ratti diamond print pumps, red carnation earrings) & Catesby Floral Liberty Perfect Shirt since it's included in 30% off. I've started my shopping for holiday gifts, so able to pick up some other jewelry finds like oversized gem necklace.in heather carbon and jewel box necklace. Stopped in this week, so no weekend visit planned.

DeleteI picked up a few things with the 30% off sale and stacked a 20% coupon I had and also emailed for a price adjustment on an order from earlier this week. I ordered the Regent blazer in super 120s wool in heather flannel and the ivory/black Lucie bow pumps in floral as well as the snakeskin Elsie pumps.
ReplyDeleteEarlier in the week I ordered the V-neck dress in super 120s wool in heather flannel so I requested a price adjustment for that and the grey oversized gem necklace which is a good deal for $20ish. I'm really missing tops in pretty prints as I'm finding that's what is lacking in my closet so guess it's back to eBay for that.

I saw the Tie waist boat neck sweater in the Prince street store in NYC. It runs huge,def size down. It was very soft and i liked the look of it (did not try it though).
DeleteI think the merino v neck sweater is one of those good items that flies under the radar. It is the 100 % merino sweater in a boyfriend shape that i love. It is TTS.
I know the Everyday cashmere is not included but i love my EC boyfriend v neck!

ReplyDeleteJ.crew: Nothing too exciting. No store promos that I noticed (though there may have been something that didn't interest me.). Sandwich board at entrance was ISO seasonal employees. I don't even think I noticed anything exciting, although there was a thick pink and white mottled sweater (I think with the wrist ties) that felt really substantial, but I didn't pick it up. Made returns and wasn't given any type of card (someone mentioned an enveloped given out with a discount card). Not for me.
Madewell: also had a sandwich board ISO seasonal employees. I just made returns.
Just came from Madewell to return. Packed with shoppers and no in-store promo. I didn’t go to JCrew but I’m sure crickets are everywhere..😂 I kid I kid.

ReplyDeleteI swore I’d stay away from this promo but woke up early today and of course had to check the website. Pop back TM gingham dress in my size. The reviews were stellar and I love TM fabrics so I pulled the trigger. Amazing thing about shopping online before 7 am is having the pick of all the stores for pickup! Usually by 10 am half the stores in NYC are no longer available. Fingers crossed the dress works out, though it looks pretty long and I’m only 5’1.

ReplyDeleteWent to make a return and left empty handed once again. It was 30% off Full price and 40% off sale. When I walk it the store just no longer resembles the Crew to me. With all the ruffles I felt like I stepped back in time. The gray sweatshirt w/ the giant black ruffle was even worse in person. Still waiting for it to get cool enough to transition my closet to fall and winter and see what all I have.
ReplyDeleteBoth Robson and Pk Royal Vancouver stores 30% off sale as well as the full price 30% promo. Robson had more size selection. Robson sale section stacked with OTS and one shoulder tops. Amused to read the copywriter from space online product comment on the newish G9945 OTS iteration striped long sleeve with bows "OTS isn't going anywhere"!!! Too right ! except sadly straight to the markdown/final sale section which is already overflowing with OTS, ruffly fails from prior roll outs.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I did try then buy G7678 silk polka dot one shoulder top with bow. It has a lining and the bow lies flat enough that I could wear it casually with a shawl cardigan. As a home sewer in earlier decades, I feel I may be able to engineer a second shoulder strap in black silk fabric to make this an evening top which can be worn with a regular bra, not requiring strapless underpinnings. The price was right for experimentation - around $20 Cdn btax after the 30% discount. It is a much better price than the blue/white striped cotton version of the same style and is less bulky as the silk bow fabric lies flatter.

ReplyDeleteDid anyone get the e-mail ("5 Reasons to RSVP Yes") on 10/1 or notice the verbiage on the site that said that orders placed with a JC card would get free shipping through the month of October? I tried to order a $20 popback with my card and it applied the $5 shipping charge. Not really surprised that it didn't work, and I'm sure CS would credit my order but it's just annoying.

Well, ok, also spending elsewhere, like on a cute green leather jacket WITHOUT ZIPPERS PADDING OR BUCKLES THANK YOU LORD at NM. Himself asked if I was going to get Green Contact Lenses next. I am waiting to see if the jacket fits first.
