This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!
:)
I just picked up the velvet bomber jacket on a whim - for anyone who purchased, how are you styling this? Debating if I can justify it for work + weekend wear. Thanks!
ReplyDelete@sartorial choices has a pic of printed pants and a stacked heel. Maybe that will give you some styling ideas for work. I don't have it, but could see wearing it with cropped silk foulard print pants and gold flats with navy bow for the office. Good luck!
DeleteIs it me or did they add more stuff to the 40% off promo today for women?

ReplyDeleteReceived the Madewell Camden sweater coat in black. Small was sold out so I ordered the medium and it's too big, not just the shoulders but very wide. If the XS or small pops back I might try but I wish it had some type of closure. If I could cross this with the JCrew boiled wool wrap coat it would be perfect. This has the right length and great pockets.
Also received Madewell skinny skinny black jeans in the now sold out BLACK FROST. in comparison I also tried the JCrew 8" toothpick in black. The J.Crew black denim is to me more of a heavy black twill, not denim. The Madewell looks more like dark black denim. I got the tall size in Madewell because that was all that was left. They fit TTS. deciding between them or the coated denim, I have the leather Ryder pants so not sure I need the coated denim but they are really nice.
For returns. the lace up tunic sweatshirt. If it had been all cotton . yes. but too much poly
ReplyDeletemakes it feels icky. runs one size too big. IMO.
