DeleteStopped by the Fifth Ave store on Saturday to return the ratti elephant top. Had to ask two SAs if the 25% off purchase applied to sales (it did), but had no interest in any of it since everything's been sitting there for the past month (with higher additional % off). But I've had my eye on a girl's wool cardigan (the sushi one) for a few weeks and had been watching the biggest sizes sell out without any restock so I went to find it for a feel. This cardigan had been excluded from all promos so I was pleased to find out from an SA that the 25% applied this time, but alas no big sizes left. She helpfully found it at the Madison Ave store and did a charge-send via phone. I was initially reluctant to order because the reviews say it's running small, but the 25% promo + waived shipping + really nice substantial feel (and the print isn't PRINTED on, unlike many adult JC sweaters!) led me to order. No risk trying!

DeleteGot the 14 today. I'm usually an S and i got crewcuts 14 but this sushi cardi is running small. I can button but probably can't wear a thick button down underneath. The sleeves are a tiny bit too short, and the overall length is more like a cropped cardi. I'll be returning.

ReplyDeleteI emailed J Crew...they were surprised. said they did not realize this. well...now will it be fixed ? I encourage all Canadian jcas to call an conmplain. only very few items are marked down...in red. so why are other items in sale section. they are full price?????????
DeleteI think that if it's in the sale section but no sale price is showing, once you add to your chart and check out (or pretend to check out by starting the check out process) you can see the marked down price. It's very annoying. When you see it with the other items (before adding to your basket) and there is no sale price shown, you can "guesstimate" what the sale price is by sorting the items from low to high (or high to low) and then looking at the prices of the surrounding items.

DeleteAm I the only one who has been wondering about the Tall embroidered flowered skirt showing up in the sale section for 0.99 cents (at least it was 99 cents on the Canadian website). It was shown at that price for days, with a full range of Tall sizes for the first few days. The regular and petite versions are shown still as $85.99 CAD. Curiosity finally overcame me. Even though I am only 5 ft tall, I ordered one when I wanted to order a couple of other items. (At my age, I am not interested in mini skirts so a tall may actually be better for me.) Not sure it will ship. And even if it ships, maybe it won't fit me, but if it doesn't I am sure I can give it away to a good home.

Was it item H0418 (Tall Floral Embroidered Tie-Waist skirt)? That's the only Tall skirt I can see in the sale section right now, and it's not marked at .99.

ReplyDeleteSome good prices (even without the extra % off promo) on a couple of items. The ruffle shoulder sheath dress (G6252) in the blue is $56.99 Cad and the ruffle neck dress (g8385) in both blue and black is $49.99 Cad once you actually get the sale price to show up. Limited sizes in the ruffle shoulder sheath but there appears to be a full range of sizes in the ruffle neck dress.
