Pre-order now works to see the new rollout!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit underwhelmed. I hope there will be more to see on the actual roll-out.
DeleteToo bad they mixed acrylic with wool in the cape scarf...
Loving the cherry-print Tippi!
DeleteThe girls' hummingbird tee is very cute, too bad I don't have anyone to buy it for.
DeleteAgree, Taylor - cherry print Tippi is ADORABLE! Also want the new leopard print Tippi even though I absolutely do not need another animal print anything.
DeleteI just want to say how much I LOVE and appreciate the reviews here on JCA. I've been shopping on some other sites lately and have been so frustrated by the lack of sizing info in the reviews. Why people bother to write a review that says nothing beyond "so cute, love it!" is beyond me, I can see if it's cute from the photo! But did it fit, or not? I need to know! So, thank you to all the JCAs who take the time to write detailed, thoughtful reviews, and answer sizing-related questions when asked, it is truly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteshopgrrrl, yes!, that is a major complaint of mine too with most reviews. I hate when people say "I love it, got compliments!" etc! I want to know, what is your height and weight, what is your usual size and what size did you buy, and how was the quality of the item? Hence, I too love the JCA thoughtful reviews and comments!
DeleteSame here @shopgrrrl and @JulieTaylor. JCA's are the best and I so appreciate Alexis for providing this forum for us.
DeleteYes, you all are great and so helpful (although my husband would say you're enablers :-)! I've noticed lately that some people will list their height, weight, normal size, etc., but then they don't say what size they ended up buying. It's so frustrating!
DeleteChecked out the preorder stuff. Love the cherry print but is it too summery? Debating. Also, I see repeats from last year. I own both the stadium cloth coat in golden sun and the leopard tippi. Got great prices on both now both back to full for this year. Went to Factory Tues night a little before close and they were nice enough to let me stay after closing time. Tons of new stuff in that staff was putting out. Saw some didn't get. I got an Artist tee in gold stripe and a shimmery gold tee on clearance for very cheap.
ReplyDeleteI ordered both colors in the double serge skirt to try. They look lovely and I have been waiting for something similar.
ReplyDeleteMy J. Crew Factory store had a bunch of J. Crew retail and Madewell items. Maybe that's normal for some Factory stores, but I haven't seen it often.
ReplyDeleteMine had a huge amount of Collection items still priced ridiculously high.
DeleteOh wow, mine didn't have much/any Collection. I got the Lambswool Pointelle Sweater in navy for about $23. They had a variety of denim and pants, for the most part. Lots of Rayners, a pair of MW Flea Market Flares, Toothpicks, Matchsticks, a few other styles. Saw one pair of sequinned pants but didn't check the price.
DeleteLoving that items I bought last year are shown again this year--the wide leg wool pants, wool peplum top (similar but mine has v neck), faux leather pleated mini. Wishful thinking, but maybe I won't buy anything new?! 🤑
ReplyDeleteFactory had faux leather pleated mini skirts, they looked nice. Had elastic waistbands.
DeleteI'm glad I picked up the wide leg gray flannel crop pants from last season and the collection wide leg pants in both caravan blue and crimson maple the season before. They still seem to be in for fall 2016.
DeleteAgree about scoring items from previous seasons that will be in again this fall & winter. @shoppingcelle @Suz Has, nice snags on the pants! That styling of the peplum top also reminds me of the gray wool cutout top without the peplum. Can see pairing that top with wool pants similar to the style guide. The houndstooth skirt is a definite repeat from last year. It's awesome when items from previous seasons maintain their style for subsequent ones.
DeleteI'm loving my super-sale purchases from a month or so ago when it was 40-60 percent off sale, specifically the colette heel in 3 colors, (red, leopard linen, collection calfhair) they were about 60 dollars each, and the gingham trousers for 28 dollars. Also some really pretty petal earrings in an opal pink, for 13 dollars.
ReplyDeleteOT, Rynetta is headed to NYFW again!! She's posted on IG @jcrewismyfavoritestore.
ReplyDeleteYou're super sweet, thank you!!!!!
DeleteI'm really enjoying following along on your adventure. Thanks, Rynetta.
Deletemaryeb: thank YOU!!! I am having a blast!!!!
DeleteMygoddy - Women supporting women. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYes!!!! I LOVE it!
DeleteLove my tie-neck striped cotton/silk blouse and the navy sailor skirt in ponte I wear with it. Neither of these items got a ton of love (I think they were rolled out in small rollouts) but they were well-priced, sold well by the looks of the site, and look fantastic on. Not crazy trendy, either -- just elevated enough past basic to go to work and out to dinner. Very happy with both pieces!
ReplyDeleteI saw a woman walking down Boylston St, in Boston wearing that skirt and it looked so chic.
