ReplyDeleteThis morning's JC email trumpets a sale update on the web site with over 100 new additions. Unfortunately, the women's sale section shows that there have been no new additions in the past 2 weeks. Come on, JC, coordinate a little.

DeleteJust noticed the Shiny Downtown Field Puffer Jacket for the first time today, but unfortunately there are no reviews. Can anyone comment on the fit? I don't own any JC coats, but do have a size 12 blazer.
ReplyDeleteThe Shiny puffer runs small. I normally wear a petite 10 in blazers so I ordered the petite large and it just makes it. I'm not sure I can fit much more than a thin sweater underneath. One more thing, the spiced nutmeg color is different in person than it appears in the pictures. It has an olive cast to it. I returned it and settled on the gray since I own a few navy jackets already. I think if you can make it work for you it is a good value for the price.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for this input! As it is described as "boxy" I actually thought I might want to size down. AND, I had my eye on the Spiced Nutmeg, so good to know the colour is off. Hmmm.....perhaps not a wise FS purchase.

ReplyDeleteI was able to score the crescent floral pendant that was wildly popular this past spring at the clearance store, the tortoise with mint green stones. I only do sale so I missed out as they were quickly gone. I did want to mention that a lot of the current jewelry has either painted stones or painted casings (brulee) pieces are a good example. The new blooming sequin paillette necklace has little deep plum stones that are painted. This stuff is chipping like crazy. If you are buying in store, check your pieces carefully. Store them carefully as well, don't use the black jewelry pouches, they can rub off on some of the jewels.

ReplyDeleteQuestion: is the double-cloth fabric the one that has a bit of texture to it, like a tiny diagonal rib? I only have double-cloth coats and I am loving the look of the new belted trench (but typically don't like that fabric)

DeleteI own the Sabrina coat in that double-cloth fabric. I personally like it more than the stadium cloth because its not too bulky for SF weather.

Heads up, (as usual) some clearance items that are not FS are still taking 40% off. I've got 3 perfect tees in my cart ringing in at 13.50 (I think sale price is 22.50) that aren't marked FS. Betting this mostly is items that have clearance colors at multiple price points.

Did purchase some items online (geo brushstroke dress, downtown field jacket in burgundy and Downing Tote in English Saddle); everything has already shipped. This is where I seem to be doing most of my shopping these days with more selection and really good prices. Have an online return to make, so will head to the mall this evening or tomorrow. Also, received an invite to an in-store event on Thursday (10/22) for new arrivals.
