This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Local stores were still offering 40% off sale items ths past weekend.
ReplyDeleteSome reviews here.
Yes, I visited. Reviews here of the crotchet trim scarf & bohemian bracelet. Both are on sale in-store vs regular price online.
ReplyDeleteA review of the Cleo Perforated Loafers (on sale in stores)here and several other reviews here
ReplyDeletestopped by, nice prices on the jewelry, was able to get a collection necklace for $45 (originally at $225). The perforated dresses are also on sale 40% extra off
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great deal ebelandi! Which necklace was it?
DeleteYes....which collection necklace was reduced so much ?
DeleteI apologize for the late reply. It was the stacked stone necklace reviewed by jcrewismyfavstore in this link: http://jcrewismyfavstore.blogspot.com/2014/04/j-crew-stacked-stones-necklace-and.html) There were only 2 necklaces left, I got one for a friend and another lady rushed to get last one once she saw it.
DeleteOT: Are there any JCAs that have visited the Madewell stores in Bellevue or Seattle, and can comment on their inventory/sale section/customer service, etc.? I will be taking my son to an appointment in Spokane, and would like to know if it's worth traveling the extra distance to check them out. TIA!
ReplyDeleteI do not recommend this plan. Spokane to Seattle is about 5-6 hours of driving, including a boring stretch of nothingness in Eastern WA, crossing a mountain range, traffic congestion in Bellevue and then, if you want Seattle, crossing a toll bridge and dealing with more traffic and parking issues. The SAs at the Bellevue Madewell were nice and all, but it's really just another mall storefront. It doesn't have an extensive selection and, in my opinion, is not worth driving across the state. You'd be better off ordering online and returning.
DeleteThank you for the information WA Shopper! I was hoping the Madewell stores were going to be larger ones worth the extra time and distance to visit, but it sounds as if that isn't the case. At least not to extend the time of an already long day for my son's appointment. We are planning to make a visit to Seattle and Portland during the summer, so I'll wait to visit both Madewell and J.Crew then. Thanks again for taking the time to respond! :)
DeleteFor those interested, I've updated the J.Crew Promo-Priced Items list with the latest additions. The extra 30% off is still going on until tomorrow, and there are a lot of promo items eligible for the discount right now. You can see the list here on my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI just received an email with my spring rewards information. It was much smaller than previous months so I thought there may be an error. Does anyone know the cutoff dates for each seasons' award accruals? I've often tried to figure it out and it befuddles me the way the rewards are calculated. Maybe they are penalizing me with triple negative points for things that are returned!
ReplyDeleteHi Shopping Celle - I believe that these rewards would be for the period 1/1/14-3/31/14. The next cutoff dates will be 6/30/14, 9/30/14, and 12/31/14 if they keep doing this based on previous years. HTH!
DeleteI just received my J.Crew rewards, too! $25!
DeleteI wasn't expecting it because I haven't bought much this spring...if I did, I buy a lot during promotions so that I can try it on at home, I keep what I like and return the rest.
Oh well....yay! Extra $25 for me! :-D
I just went to the mailbox and the rewards card was there waiting for me!
