A big "thanks!" to Ji (in this post), who let us know about the following news regarding J.Crew card members: rewards cards are being mailed to qualifying card members now! :)
Ji was also super kind to share the image of the latest Holiday rewards cards being sent. The theme this time around is "Our top 5 picks on how to put the joy back into holiday shopping".
Don't forget, the latest rewards card expires December 15, 2010. Knowing my JCAs, you won't have to worry about them expiring! ;)
So if you are a card member, *check* your mail to see if you got your Holiday Rewards Card! :)
This is the $25 for every $500 you spend? Or something else? I'm always confused by this and I have a hard time figuring out the time period. Lord knows I've spent quite a bit over the past few months with my JCrew card so I'm looking forward to something in my mailbox soon (nothing today)!
ReplyDeleteHi Patsy, I am not a card holder, but I am pretty sure this is just the regular rewards card with a theme: holidays! But I could be wrong since I don't have a CC. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I got it now...I think I was just drunk on the recent 20% off cardholders thing...what was I thinking?? ha!
ReplyDeleteI know I did not spend enough this credit card period to get a rewards card. And just think a couple of years ago I always got one!
ReplyDeleteI did get a Talbots reward for the first time though this month. It is good for 13 months before it expires. I really like that:)
JCrew's expire way to fast sometimes....
I definitely have not spent enough to get a reward card this time.
ReplyDeleteCan we use them online??
ReplyDeleteI didn't spend enough to get one this quarter.
ReplyDelete@PatsyStone, the cards come out about 3-4 weeks after the close of each calendar quarter if your spending that quarter has hit the $500 ($1000, $1500, etc.) threshold.
@MsHark, previous rewards cards could be used online.
How bizarre. If this is the cardholder rewards card, why are they masquerading it a a bonus reward. We discussed this when they sent rewards around during another period and the language was misleading.
ReplyDeleteYes, Gigi, it is misleading for JC to make us think this is a "gift" from them.
ReplyDeleteA total surprise today at the mail box as I almost thought it was a gift from what I read on the previous post until I realized it was my JC CC rewards card.
I'm pretty sure this is the standard Rewards Card...it's just denoted as "Holiday Rewards" on the card itself, this time around. The back of the three-panel card says the usual: "REWARDS PRORAM GUIDELINES AND RESTRICTIONS The J. Crew Rewards Program is provided by J. Crew..." yadda, yadda, yadda...so no, it's not a special gift for cardholders.
ReplyDeleteGot one this time, but probably due to crewcuts (my kids are growing like weeds and we've been taking advantage of the 30% off online) and DH, who has re-discovered JC. I'm sure we won't be getting this next reward period...
I'm in the Pacific NW, if anyone is tracking when and where cards have made their way around the US.
Closing my jcrew card as we speak. The brand no longer warrants the 20% apr. The rewards program is just much too skimpy for me to continue using the card...I may get a rewards card, but I'm sure that's the last one I will score!
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't spend enough to get the reward this time. I wasn't expecting a reward at all. My statement showed my points were not converted.
ReplyDeleteSorry if I confused you ladies. But I was so sure it was cardmember only special.
I'm not a card holder, but I'm curious -- what happens if I spend $1000 in a period? How about $1500? Do I get 2 or 3 reward cards?
ReplyDeleteRegina, if you spend $1000 you'd get a $50 reward card, a $75 one for $1500, etc.
ReplyDeleteOK, I absolutely did not meet the minimums for a reward this past quarter but I did receive a card yesterday. I was thinking it was a) a mistake or b) an effort to get me to use my card.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused because the card says Holiday Rewards but I can only view points for Winter and Fall rewards...is this really a bonus? Did J Crew throw me a bone?
and sub
ReplyDeleteValerie,
ReplyDeleteYour points can roll over from each time period.
i checked my account and it says that i am still 97 points away from a reward- but i received a card this afternoon in the mail?
ReplyDeleteis this definitely the rewards card?
I'm also confused about this - I didn't spend enough during Fall (361 pts), and I definitely haven't spent enough for winter, as you need to spend at least $500.
ReplyDeleteBut I got a holiday rewards card in the mail today...
I guess one way to tell is if they are all $25 even for people who have spent $1000 or $1500, etc. Any big spenders out there get more than $25?
ReplyDeleteIf it's really J Crew's cardmember special... I feel so bad for them. Like the boy who cried wolf, nobody believes it's a nice gesture.
ReplyDeleteI know I got a rewards card this summer. It was sent out similar to this saying Summer Rewards and it was b/c I spent $500 so I got a $25 rewards card to spend.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a regular Credit card rewards just being sent around holiday time...hence Holiday Rewards.
Maybe an error was made in some cases and people accidently got one?
I'm waiting for my reward card to arrive! I'm expecting a pretty substantial one this time around- didn't get one at all last quarter. I know the points roll over from quarter to quarter, as mentioned in previous posts. One way to check your eligibility is to look at your statement dated in October. It shows "points redeemed"- that's how you'll know if you were eligible. HTH.
ReplyDeleteDo you get rewards for $500 ($1000, etc.) spent ANYWHERE, or only if you spend the $$ at J. Crew?
ReplyDeleteAnna,
ReplyDeleteIt's a JCrew only card...so you're forced to buy their clothes if you want a smidge of a bonus back.
I think the whole thing is a sham, especially when most of us, even with the ability, won't purchase much because of the declining quality, pricing issues, rude CS...etc.
