Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER & FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. The store I went to over the weekend matched the extra 30% off sale from online. Once they did, they said it was final sale and I couldn't return it.

I got the marled Thandie for $34.99 with the extra 30% off.

  3. I wasn't able to but I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about the sasha peacoat? Also, is the glen plaid version noticeably less warm than the stadium cloth version? Thanks!

  6. Ms. Hark-
Sasha pea coat is very cute, but kind of short. I am 5'8" so I would have preferred it be at least 3 inches longer. It's a bit on the casual side for a pea coat as well with the collar, but if it was longer I'd seriously consider buying it! Hope this helps!

  8. I went to the Charlotte (Southpark) store and ended up getting the Chiffon Cecelia cami for $49.99-30% off (I mentioned the online sale and the SA gave me the discount!) I can't believe the cami is still full price online....if interested, there was one size 2, one size 6, and a couple size 12s left in the store. I didn't get anything else. For some reason, I always find less that I want to try on/buy at Southpark than I do at the Asheville store.

  9. I did some cross-border shopping this weekend and hit the Walden Galleria in Buffalo.

Somewhat disappointing as there was nothing I really wanted, and no new roll-out pieces that I could see. Ended up getting the Flannel Plaid Tuxedo Tunic on sale, I actually love it and wore it with leggings and boots yesterday and it's so comfy yet a little bit stylish.

  10. Nichi,

May I ask what store you purchased the marked Thandie from where they honored the 30% off? TIA!

  11. Jackie,

It was at Polaris in Columbus, Ohio. I took it to the register and said "it's too bad you don't have the extra 30% off like online". The SA said, in a lowered tone, that they were allowed to match the 30% off, but then the item was final sale.

  12. I'm surprised that these SAs are matching the 30% off online prices. What luck! The SAs at my local stores would roll their eyes, the grief that comes with asking for the promo is just not worth it. Why can't J Crew just have the same promos in-store and online???

  13. Reposting from seek and find post:

OK, just got back from local factory b&m. They usually have some random retail items mixed in the clearance section... but what I saw today was WAY beyond that.

All of these retail items were in the factory store, just mixed in with the regular "made for factory" items.

Long Benny Blazer #29214 for $49.99 (It had the tag on it with the "Original Price: $168, Our Price: $128) But it had one of those hang tags that said $49.99 that they often do at the factory stores. AND they had both colors. And alot of sizes.

Forever cardigan, #18169, in heather gray and black pine, for $69.50 plus 30% off. All the other colors of the "forever cardigan" were actually the factory version. The retail ones were just on the table mixed in.

Bi stretch wool minnies, #28432, in cobblestone and heather charcoal, for $39.99. Only sizes smaller than 8 though. I tried them on... wow, how unflattering!!! And so narrow at the ankle... I have pretty slim calves and I could barely get them on. For the record I have and love the Collection italian wool minnies from last year.

Haya Pullover Hoodie, in a light beige color, item #29437, sizes XS and Large only, for $59.50 - 40%.

Felted Wool Mini, item #28260, for $69.50 minus $10. They had several colors.

So, the moral of the story is, if you live anywhere near a factory store and are interested in current, full price retail offerings for less, you MIGHT want to head over and check it out. There were also some random retail camis on the clearance rack, which was an additional 30% off.

Oh, and there were a bunch of retail tees, like the C'est Bon one, and a pink one with beads on it. Didn't pay close attention, but they were less than the current retail price.

They had the factory Belle skirts for $49.97 - 30% in three different patterns.

Oh, and this was the outlet in Waterloo, NY.
