ReplyDeleteOoh, I haven't received the new catalog yet. Last catalog I got, the code inside had expired a month beforehand.
ReplyDeleteNot sure where to post, so quick question - does anyone know how small the girls' headbands are? I'm in the market for some new headbands, but the only ones catching my eyes are the girls'!
I have been receiving these catalogs with the codes inside that have expired for the last 3 months and in April I received 5 catalogs, 3 of them had codes I could not use and J Crew will not honor them because their system will not accept expired codes.

I would be happy just to get a catalog. I have been having to call or email and have one sent to me as for some reason they just stopped sending them!
ReplyDeleteA: There was a mention of the code on the front cover ("Check inside!") and the offer was on a notecard-sized insert, stapled just inside the front cover.

ReplyDeleteI was laughing because I don't know when in the last couple of years they stopped putting "mail order forms" in the center of the catalog. A sign of the technology times. Saves paper!
I doubt that this would be the case :) but if anyone is willing to part with their 20% off coupon, I would be forever grateful. Im more then willing to discuss if I have anything of value for a trade :)

@ Lauren: I bought several headbands for my girl from crewcuts but though they fit me it's snug for me to be wearing it around (and I think I have an average size head). They are darn cute though. If you don't mind returning them maybe you could try out few of them? Hope this helps.
Just out of curiosity, why do only some people get the coupons??

We have spilled a lot of virtual ink on this blog trying to figure out J.Crew's marketing strategy and why some of us are included and some are excluded. Although those with a background in business and marketing have assured us that JC does indeed have a plan, it is not always apparent to the average JCA (especially those of us with liberal arts backgrounds, lol).

Heidi: It is just the luck of the draw who gets the coupon, when I received the 5 catalogs every 2nd of third one had a coupon. I spent alot at the beginning of this year and I still received them.

Also, when are the rewards cards being mailed? I am still waiting for mine, but yesterday I stopped by the JCrew store in Fashion Valley (San Diego) and the Sales Associate asked me if I had mine with me..
ReplyDeleteOT, after JCrew I stopped by BR, and snagged a cashmere cardi, silk top and shorts for under $150 with a 25% off plus an extra 20% off to cardholders. *hint, hint, JCrew* ,,,
I finally got a coupon for 20% off, it expires on May 9th. I wish J.crew would give something to their loyal customers like BR and AT does.
ReplyDeleteHeidi and Gata, I received it and I spend a lot, and most is trackable since I use a J. Crew card. It is the first time I've ever received a code. My good friend who has literally never ordered an item but put herself on the catalogue mailing list has received 3 or 4. My cousin, who spends about as much as I do, has received 3 in the last 6 months. Some of us are card holders, some aren't. I long ago gave up trying to figure out the method to the madness.

ReplyDeleteI buy 99% of my clothes from J.Crew. I spend a lot! I received a 20% coupon on my catalog. 99% of my purchases go through my PS. I RARELY return anything and pay full price for 80% of my purchases. I have received all of the gifts from J. Crew and purchase everything on my J. Crew card. Also, I give them my email every single time they ask for it because that is another way they track your purchases.

I received a promo code in my catalog for 20% off my entire catalog/online order. I used it and saved almost $100 on my three-item order. Unfortunately, despite my large bill, I still had to pay shipping. If I didn't have that coupon, I never would have made that purchase, so their plan worked on me.
ReplyDeleteoh, and I should add that I rarely purchase anything at J.Crew, period. The only things I have ordered online have been bridesmaid dresses. I guess I got lucky.
