  1. I like this promo, especially for sale items because you still receive $25 coupon. Ordered linen sailboat tee from new roll out and sale shoes: navy foulard print (saw them on @stylebymaca) and pink plaid tassel flats, and metallic glittery silver ankle tie heels.

    1. @mygoddy, please let us know how the foulard flats work out. I am considering these, and the online pics look nice, but I saw a photo of them on (NOT @stylebymaca)and didn't love the look. I hope you do like them!

  2. What happens with the gift card if you return your items?

    1. Annie Myers, I have had different experiences returning items that were purchased with a gift card. Usually the gift card I have doesn't cover the entire purchase. Sometimes they return all of the funds to my cc and sometimes they return the gift card amount back to the gift card and the rest to my cc. I'm not really sure what the official policy is.

    2. Its a promo card for your next order...has nothing to do with the order you placed to get the off YOUR NEXT ORDER.. itS like the bounce back cards, If you purchase an order with a 'gift card ' you get your return put back on another 'GIFT CARD "

    3. I think I was unclear, what happens to the $25.00 promo card if I return some of the items on the order which was used to get the promo card..ie, I ordered 2 dress sizes, came to $160, got $25, but will send 1 dress back. TIA

    4. Ahh, in that case I think what Ina said is what happens: nothing. I don't think they make you return the card if that's what you're asking.

  3. I ordered the lace-up t-shirt in both colors and the merci boucoup tee. Reviews said to size up in the lace-up tee so I did. I hope that was the right move.

  4. Oh, the promo games. Like the Hunger Games really, with fewer deaths but just as many unpredictable traps deploying. All week the Canadian promo has been 20% off sale, finally went in and scooped some cute things off the racks yesterday. Today the promo is up to 40%. So off I trek to the store for an adjustment, to be met with the disapproving stare of the manager. But they know I'm probably keeping that store solvent, so I got the adjustment... The SA said they had no idea the sale was changing until halfway through the day today. Got some of the destination tees, the cream star toothpicks, and the navy fringe dot dress, expected to hate it but its really cute on!

    1. @cagliari67, rather than trek back in for a PA at the store, have you tried calling customer service and asking them to do it for you? Not sure how it works in Canada but a few weeks ago, I bought the Blossom earrings in store and then they were marked down the very next day. I called CS and they just ask for some info off your receipt (store#, transaction#, etc) and that's it, they send you an email showing the credit. Apologies if you already know this and circumstances were different, etc, but wanted to mention in case others weren't aware. In any case, glad all worked out!

I'm slowing down my shopping these days (against my will, boring reasons, boo), but I haven't been terribly tempted and/or able to resist. My most recent purchase was the leopard shirt and the yellow pencil skirt in cotton (loves!)

    3. Promo Hunger Games contestant here too. I bought a side tie Merino and wool scarf earlier this week in Canada @ 20% off promo. Then both items were reduced very next day one down $20 , other $15.and now the 40% promo so the total difference on my two items is now up to $30. Been under the weather today and not run store gauntlet to try for a PA. Anyone know is it in store policy to grant or "one time courtesy"? I would probably purchase another item with the PA immediately.
I may try @tm93 phone in idea if still house bound tomorrow. See if it works for Canada transactions.

    4. GoWest, as I noted below I did get the price adjustment from 20 to 40% in store. I think it depends on the SA you talk to, but I have always received the so-called "one-time courtesy"adjustment. Certain managers like to make a big deal of how they're doing you a big favour, but the SAs tend to be more reasonable. And I did end up purchasing another item with the returned funds (though I don't feel obligated to).

    5. Cagliari67 thanks for the reply. I did initially try calling in to see if phone PA possible. For future JCA reference, International customer service for Canada, unlike USA can not see store purchase receipts in their system. So not possible to do a simple adjustment via phone. Though they did kindly offer to arrange with store if I emailed them the copy receipt, but obviously a lot of extra effort for all, so I did get myself to a store. Received a straight forward PA no questions and then, inevitably delivered my win right back into a purchase!

  5. I bit. After watching a jacket for the past several months it was a great deal (the field mechanic jacket b1552). Regular $259 down to $149. But it's backordered and won't ship till May 14th. The upside is it must be new stock and not something that was beat up and laying on the sale room floor.

    1. Hope you love it. I have the women's version, but I saw the men's and it inspired me to order a size up.

  6. jcrew guy, I did my best Katniss and vanquished the foe. Many thanks for the tribute ;) the odds were in my favour. But then I turned around and contributed my winnings back to the District...

TM93 the store is on my way home so not a problem to stop, I did think of calling CS but decided to keep it in reserve in case I ran into resistance at the store. Never entirely sure whether the Canadian factor will be a problem. I think technically everything was supposed to be final sale instore, but I am such a regular customer that in person I can usually get results... just wore that leopard shirt this week, it's a great piece!

  7. I took advantage of this as well yesterday - got the red woven suede wedge sandals and the new silk ruffle cold shoulder top - ordered two sizes of the sandals to try which bumped me up to a hefty "reward" card. I received the card via email this morning.
