This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Does anyone know when new arrivals will be online? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCate, I think they will be online on Wednesday. Maybe Ina or someone else can confirm.
DeleteThanks Lauren! I had the 13th in my head for some reason.
DeleteI know that the new stuff is out tomorrow in stores and I suspect that it will be online tomorrow also.
DeleteThanks Ina!
DeleteYes...Seems 40 off isn't happening as much as it used to..anyone have insight into this..But anyway called a store Fri morning and they told me 30 off everything plus student discount accepted so I went and they tell me no student discount so I told them I spoke to them on the phone so they did honor it and I got the lookout high rise in the baltic blue and a t shirt with a green line through the tag dirt cheap 14.99 before extra off..it was white with some animals, i think a pink elephant etc...one left only and one left of two other white t's with a design for same price but didn't get those two..Then went to J crew in another location yesterday and got the neon plaid buffalo check top and they let me use student even though they weren't supposed to because I explained I had used it at the other location.
ReplyDeleteUsually the 40% off is for end of season...they got rid of most of the winter stuff in stores and now it's newer spring stuff marked down so they're not using as high a % off for that.
DeleteI have seen 40 off often even when not end of season..But last time I saw it recently was about a month ago
DeleteOrdered the STRIPED TRENCH COAT - will post a review when it arrives.
ReplyDelete@Luxette, this one looks so cute and the reviews are great, but I've forbidden myself to even consider it since I have plenty of mild weather options. (This trench also looks more practical and substantial than the Collection Windowpane one, Item G2383 -- I don't understand why JC keeps coming back to that thin, shirting fabric type of trench?! I saw one in my store recently and couldn't believe how THIN it was! Not sure what its purpose is exactly.)
DeleteThe windowpane one got terrible reviews online because of the thin fabric. It is not outerwear material at all.
Delete@Cass-exactly! Neither was the Shirting Stripe trench that they did last year. It was basically a glorified summer bathrobe. I don't understand why they keep designing these pretty, detailed trenches w/ thin, shirt material. They're completely unstructured.
Delete@Luxette i reviewed the striped trench on my IG
DeleteGilt City has vouchers available for an extra 35% off factory prices. You can get up to 5. Pricing games frustrate me. I received the 25% off code for cardholders last week and placed a large order. Now today with the 35% off gilt code my order would be over $25 cheaper. Going to try to get a price adjustment. The items haven't arrived yet and I am not sure what I will keep but I really don't want to reorder everything but if I have to I will.
ReplyDelete@JessF, I was just coming on here to say the same thing re) Gilt City Voucher. Last night I decided to order the Striped blazer (Item F1034) because I've been meaning to try it on for size before it inevitably becomes Final Sale. With the GC coupon, it came out to $57+, not bad. (Customer Service was able to do a PA for me so I'm hoping things work out for you as well -- I hate the pricing games, too!!)
DeleteWent to make some returns. Very frustrating. Store was 25% off but no additional percentage off sale. I tried and liked some shoes that have been on clearance FOREVER. they matched the 50% off they are online but wouldn't apply the additional store discount. It would be cheaper to order them online but I bought anyway. You would think they'd be thrilled to get rid of shoes that have been on the same shelf for three months at this point. I admit I was annoyed and I'm sure I was annoying when I told them to just give me the 25% off and then I'd reach out to CS to match the online price. (I know the shoes were cheaper in the past too.) This is the kind of thing I find really irritating as a shopper. At least Madewell most often makes it more desirable to buy what's been sitting on the floor because the store usually offers a discount on sale even when it's not online. GRRR...
ReplyDeleteFunny I called my store today bc I curious if precent off sale increased since the weekend and they told me that it is included with the 25 off of everything else.
Delete@RN, They would not stack–so I could either get 25%off sale or match the 50% off the shoes were online. Was your store offering both?
DeleteI don't think they've ever stacked a store-wide promo with an add'l % off sale. It's either-or.
DeleteI'm sure you're right.
Delete(But the store price should not be double the online price.)
DeletePosted women section style guide April 2017 on Instagram "ymous1975" for those who don't get it. Enjoy !

DeleteWanted to order some spring items I've had my eye on, so went yesterday after brunch. Ordered Heels on Fire tee, full length linen pants in yellow, elephant print cotton cover up & metallic ankle strap sandals with satin bow. Finally able to try fun tassel earrings in store and those came home with me. Everything was 30% off and they stacked educator discount.
