This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent"
posts), where we can share our finds from other
retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew
(like Anthropologie, LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann
Taylor, and the like.)
If you
have recently encountered items that are similar to
J.Crew, maybe you might be
willing to share that information with us
in this post.
Please feel
free to share your story on almost any topic—
including experiences with certain merchandise pieces,
promotions/ offers, in-store visits,
transactions with store associates, etc.

I posted a bunch of reviews of Boden items yesterday here, including the Multi-Stitch Dress, Lottie Tunic, Wrap Jersey Top and Printed Cardi. Super cute and there's a code for 25% off.
ReplyDeleteHow come all the models in Garnet Hill catalog are doing that wide-eyed, open-mouth, puckered lips, clueless little girl look now?
ReplyDeleteI still remember that April 2010 J. Crew catalog filled with models sporting that look - thankfully they stop doing that now.

ReplyDeleteBrooks Brothers is having 5 days of savings this week with a different deal each day. Today it is 40% off women's apparel as well as children's apparel and accessories.
ReplyDeleteI tried linking to the site but it appears as though Blogger is messing with the links. In the first comment it appended to JCA url and the second time I tried it blogger.com was appended to www.brooksbrothers.com. Weird. Anyone else having this problem?
There is an online coupon you can use with Loft on anything except clothing in their "sale" section. However, almost everything else in their "non-sale" section is on sale. Does that make sense? Anyway, the coupon is holiday1 and it's good for $25 off of $50. Loft is not everyone's cup of tea but they do have some cute items.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm thinking about the tee that's a lookalike for JCrew's merino confetti sequin sweater.

ReplyDeleteOkay and if anyone can tell me how to link with "here" I would be most appreciative.
Blue Booby, try the instructions on this website. Very easy.

My hyperlinks have been messed up today. Not sure if it's blogger or chrome but they usually work perfectly.
Thanks. I'll give it a go next time.
DeleteLand's end has 30% off everything and free shipping. The code is at the top of their website. Bought some xmas gifts today, and the Joanne driving mocs for myself. They fit true to size (so, not tiny like J.Crew shoes!) and are really nice.
ReplyDeleteAlso, a bunch of Land's End Canvas blouses are $30 today, including some cute silk ones.
Those shirts at $30 with the additional 30% off equaled an amazing deal. I was able to get a chambray shirt for my brother for around $22. Since the shirt was originally $60, that is more than half off. I also grabbed a dotted silk shirt for $35, which then became $25. That shirt was originally $90. If you like the look of their tops, today may be the day to get one...especially if you have a hard to shop for guy on your list.
DeleteAritzia, which is a Canadian store that has some US locations (they just opened a new flagship in NYC) finally has online shopping (www.Aritzia.com)!
ReplyDeleteI have posted before that they have a great dupe for the Minnie (the Elliot Pant) as well as a longer version of those same pants for the tall people (the Ellis Pant). The colours are lovely and they have lots of other great stuff as well, including some lovely silk blouses and sweaters. In terms of sizing, I find that their stuff fits more TTS than J. Crew. For example, I need a 00 in the Minnies but wear a size 2 in the Ellis Pants.
They are running a promotion right now where you get free shipping over $100 if you sign up for an account.
I have a Madewell coupon for 25% off a $100 purchase, if anyone wants it. dancerb26@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI ordered a sequin skirt from Lands End Canvas when they were having 40% one item. I have received it yet but I have high hopes that it will work for the holiday party season.

Madewell's Teddy loafer in studded suede (black) are amazingly comfortable! If you like this style, I recommend them.
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend the Tommy Hilfiger blackwatch wool coat at macys. It is a wool blend, fully lined trench style. I ordered a small because I like to wear heavy sweaters with my coats, and probably could have sized down to extra small, but I like the way small fits, the double breasted trench style is not overwhelming ( I am only 5'2") and I feel a bit like Kate Middleton in her fabulous Alexander McQueen blackwatch coat dress. So glad I returned the jcrew slim trench topper, the tommy coat is much better!
ReplyDeleteI have a review the Mossimo® Kailyn Leather Buckle Boot from Target here on my blog today. Target is also running a promotion on apparel, shoes, and accessories until the end of today: Spend $75+ and receive a $15 gift card.
