Check your mail before you commit to the GIFTNOW promo!So that means all J.Crew cardholders should be receiving an email for 30% off *and* free shipping (any order! no minimum!) with a unique promo code (one time offer). "Thanks!" to Phoebe (in this post) who let us know this offer expires December 9th. Moreover, cardholders need to use the J.Crew credit card as payment.
It is nice to see another perk for card holders. Yey for all those with the email!!!

In the fine print, it does say "offer must be used in conjunction with the J.Crew credit card" so I do think you have to use your card for this one. Mine also says it expires December 9th at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm saying this but I have discount fatigue. There's nothing new that I want and so I haven't bitten on the last couple of promotions - I NEVER thought I'd say that about J Crew! Honestly it's raining discount codes these days!
ReplyDeleteI haven't ordered a thing during all these other promos. I did use this one though because my order was small and I like that there was not only a discount but also a free ship with no minimum. I actually plan on canceling my J. Crew card next month since I seldom use it anymore. This was a nice treat but won't cause me to change my mind about keeping the card. Cardholder perks are so few and far between, there's no incentive for me.

ReplyDeleteJayna - I posted this before to someone else who was not receiving the cardholder promos. Log in to the site where you pay your credit card and check your email preferences there. I believe it's a separate mailing list from the general promos. HTH!

DeleteI was having the same issue with not getting promos. I changed my settings (about a week or two before I saw the posting here). I still didn't get the next promo, but I finally got the one today. My guess is that they only re-pull the list of eligible cardholders who have opted into email periodically.

I'm happy with the additional % off. I've been buying like crazy but once in awhile I want something that isn't on sale and this allows me to splurge a little. Besides I've been happy with their denim and love that I can get it with the discount...you know it never goes on sale.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, would be far more enticed if they spread out these promos a bit. I feel like they've been running 25% or 30% off promos back to back and as such I'm simply not tempted. The free shipping offer is nice however.
ReplyDeleteOT I just received the boucle peplum jacket which I thought I ordered in indigo but ended up with in black; it says this on my order receipt so it wasn't a warehouse mistake, but I was definitely looking at the indigo color when I added it to cart. Could it be a constructed from a thinner fabric or fashioned with larger, uglier zippers? Haven't tried it on yet since I received the package at work but I'm not optimistic. The shape looks nice but details are key.
Also OT, having spent the last few days organizing my closet, I've realized I'm done shopping for the time being based solely on the number of JC final sale mistakes hanging in my closet with the tags still attached. Surely there are better ways to spend money.

ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know about the account settings. I have been receiving the card promos, but for some reason I didn't receive this one. I logged onto my account and sure enough, I was set to not receive promos. Weird since I have not changed that setting and have received the special card codes in the past. I wonder if my setting got reset somehow.

Sadly, I haven't gotten any of the recent promotions, and I also didn't receive a new card like many other cardholders did a few months back. Luck of the draw, I guess. :(

I already ordered a whole bunch of stuff last week when they had the sale. The schoolboy blazer in flannel in deep grape was disappointing..... The sleeves were all bunched up due to improper sewing. I think I best wait until spring to buy anything more. Done for the season!
ReplyDeleteBella, I tried one on in the store and it was perfect, but when I ordered it it came exactly as you describe. I found it so odd and disappointing too. The color is gorgeous otherwise though the fabric seems thinner than previous years.

ReplyDeleteMore in-store info. The heartbreaker sweater is now $79.99. I was able to visit a store again and look at prices. I made updates w/new info and corrected any vague or incorrect info on the In-Store Price Guide.
ReplyDeleteThe prices aren't crazy different than online at the moment, like we've seen in the recent past. Of course there *are* differences. Whenever I see them, I crush a bug pin. If there's an in-store % on top of it, I crush 2 bug pins minimum ;)
i received the email with the discount code BUT when it came time to pay i used my Chase MC [i get great points!!]. still got the discount & this is the second time i've done this :D only seems to work if you have a numeric discount code rather the standard text code.

I never got the code, but when I saw the sterling skirt in crimson maple pop up in my size, I went ahead and ordered it, then called customer service and explained that I never got the code.

Very happy - I've wanted that skirt in that color for a while now, and such a great price!
