This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new HOLIDAY arrivals
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Found a great buy at the Fairfax, VA J. Crew: http://everydaymusingsetm.blogspot.com/2012/12/adventures-as-of-late.html
ReplyDeleteHuge sale section at the Robson store - a lot of cashmere sweaters, Edie bags, Biennial hobos in blue added to sale.
ReplyDeleteRose, did your VPS say anything about Boxing Day promos? Wondering if it will be worth battling the Robson crowds.
DeleteI got the wool Jules dress for like $40, it was amazing and so flattering on me. Although I kept thinking at work that perhaps it was a tinge short, I was wearing with black tights but still.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the jeweled sweatshirt is still full price in stores? It's sold out online
ReplyDeleteI bought it a couple weeks ago. It was definitely on sale, I think it was about $45 after all discounts and promos. Hard to find though, it was the last one and the only one I've seen over the past couple months in my local B&Ms...
DeleteNo sale update this morning (as of 8:00am ET, anyway).
ReplyDeletecate - I just noticed one popback, so there were probably others, but it sounds like no major replenishment of stock from what you saw. Thanks for sharing that. I'm always curious.
DeleteI didn't notice anything today, you have a better eye than me! I'm an early riser so I usually take a look. I got a couple of pop-backs yesterday that I've been stalking, though, so between that and the black patent Biella loafers I found this weekend in store, I need to stay away from J. Crew & this wonderful sale that won't go away !
Deletecate and gigi: There was an update this morning, but it was quite small...only about a 100 items, more or less.
DeleteThanks! I wonder what time that happened.
DeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI didn't visit the store, but I ordered a schoolboy velvet blazer online (boulevard green). I love green and I am delighted that it will be the 2013 color of the year (or so Pantone says). Eager to receive it and to try it on!
I went to the Burlington MA store - and I must have been the only one. The store had very few shoppers. I bought two kids items, both 75% off. But the empty store was startling. Nordstrom's next door was bustling.
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting. I went to return some things and I could not even move in the sale section (different store, though). The whole store was absolutely mobbed. I wonder why the big difference between stores?
DeleteI visited a couple of stores and got a perfect gingham shirt for $24.99. Check out the In-Store Price Guide. Newer price notes are dated in red. Some prices are better in-store, some are better online. The prices are often better in-store, however, right now a lot of online sale items are still ringing up fp.
ReplyDeleteI noticed some Additional 30% Off signs in the sale section, so I asked about the applying the 30% off storewide after that. My vps said they did it for one day last week, in error. It wasn't supposed to happen. She said the store was crazy. I guess it got a little unpretty. Sounds like it's another case of stores misunderstanding what the promos are and anyone who recvd it last week is lucky.
My store accidentally applied an additional 30% off the sale section last week. I went back this weekend to pick up a couple of crew cuts items but they were no longer adding the extra 30% off. I should have known it was too good to be true.
Delete@Cousy: I'm not a fan of the Burlington, MA store. They don't have a very good selection and the salespeople are not great at all. I frequent the Northshore (Peabody) store and the Copley Place (Boston) store. I like the inventory and employees at both much better. The Copley Place store on Sunday was BUSY, BUSY.
ReplyDeleteI'll second that...I only go to Burlington if I desperate or to return something. The staff is awful w/ the exception of a few. I don't mind Peabody but I don't get there very often. I used to like the Atrium store, but they went out and haven't checked out the new Chestnut Hill location yet.
DeleteAgreed AJL - Copley is much better in almost every aspect. But there aren't any Crewcuts stores in Boston/Cambridge, which I find baffling, so off to the 'burbs I go.
