  1. K9475 Pointed Brocade Shoe. Anyone loving this or seen in person?

    1. I saw it at my store. The colors are not me but I love that shape and it works well on my feet, generally speaking. As I mentioned elsewhere I prefer the little lift as opposed to a totally flat heel. This one feels so retro, for spring I could see it with a skirt or cropped pants

  2. Wearing the pink embroidered navy Jackie today over a blue striped perfect shirt. I was on the fence about this cardigan when I got it as it is a little short on me but it looks great over the longer shirt. It's a little touch of spring on a gloomy day and it makes me happy!

    1. @shopalot, I received mine last week. It’s so pretty. I originally ordered a size larger, it was stretched out and then received another in my regular size which is perfect. Pull on it a little it may stretch out a little longer. I put it over a cashmere featherweight sleeveless top in Neon Fuschia with white jeans and bright pink Cece’s. Not that I care but husband commented how beautiful the sweater is and the overall look with everything else. Hope the weather improves wherever you are. I’m down in S. Florida and it’s heating up quite a bit:)

    2. That sounds so pretty shopalot and Lynn. I started wearing bright pink in the last two years and especially like it with white and navy.

Lynn, I actually show all my new purchases to my husband and he helps me decide if they work for me. I override him sometimes, and sometimes he likes something I wanted to return!

  3. This is both love and lament. I'm all in some old favorites from the 2007 Paris catalog era:
Library print scarf (in both weight of silk and complexity of design, compares favorably to Hermes)
Helena (?) chocolate suede jeweled low-heeled pumps
Chocolate and gold tie silk belt with tortoise buckle
    Bella velvet jacket
Plus 00s classic merino V-neck and #2 pencil skirt.

J.Crew, why are you not showing us "classic with a twist" items that we could see ourselves wearing a dozen years from now? (I guess we'll always have Paris.

    1. @Hexicon I'm holding on to my old stuff (catalogs included) for dear life. Thankfully the older things hold up pretty well. Can't find a decent merino V-neck cardigan anywhere anymore.

  4. this is a random question, but does anyone know if the "artists studio" skirt here was actually produced?! I love the library skirt, and found the designers/artists portfolio page when googling for it and now I really want the artist's studio print, but I can find no evidence that this skirt was actually produced (ie there are no used ones for sale! and I can't find an old j crew link either)

    2. I can’t comment on the skirt, but the dress shown below it was definitely produced as I have it! It’s really stunning, I can’t wait to wear it again this summer.

    3. Oops, got mixed up as to what’s what on that post. I have the Rousseau Floral SU'06 dress shown near the top. The Artist’s Studio print is truly beautiful, thanks for the link!

  5. Ordered a pair of camo Foundry pants on Posh. I'd *liked* them last year, and the price finally hit my $20 point. I love my olive Foundry pants, and hope the camo pair is as nice. Can't wear to work, but I usually change when I come home. I prefer to put on jeans or chinos or shorts than go straight into sweats or pj's. I did get this pair in a 2, as the olive 4's are really big. Not that I won't wear them - they work fine too big with the high waist they don't fall down.

Today I started working from home after 2 weeks of disability, and I actually put on a dress (Cable-knit turtleneck sweater-dress in grey) and black tights to get me in the mood. I added my tall high heel boots before the Mr. came home, so he could get the full effect! It really did lift my spirits, getting fully dressed, not just jeans. Although tomorrow is Friday, so I guess I can go casual work-from-home. I think I will wear my dark green corduroys and a sweater and my flannel sneakers.

    1. I prefer my camo ones to the solid olive. Note, you may or may not remember I tried 00/0 and ended up loving the size 4 the most. All the sizes fit, I just like the pants loose. I got the solid ones in a 6 I think when they dropped way down in price and got a back up size 2 which I gave to my daughter who prefers them a little more fitted.
The 2 might be a little short on you. The solid ones in the 2 were short on me. I was going to cut them, my daughter wears them cuffed so they're more cropped.

    2. Glad you're feeling better. Getting dressed just because can be a nice "self care" trick.

  6. Hi p banos, great news you're feeling better! Go and strut your beautiful stuff:) Nothing like a little retail therapy. Responding to your earlier post about our husbands. I do show my husband purchases. If he likes them the answer is you look beautiful or "hot" if he doesn't "it's ok" translated he doesn't and is being diplomatic. But then there's more when he really didn't like something which is rare and here's an example. I recently purchased some of these SZ Block tunics and dresses that were cheap. His first response was that I looked like a "casalinga" translated Italian housewife wearing a house dress. He then went on to say "you're not considering wearing "that thing" around here or back home are you?" He was right and trying to save me from being embarrassed. Those were sent back the same day.

    3. Thanks Lynn! I think your husband and mine think alike...
though mine says "if you like it" when he's being diplomatic. I remember the house dresses too! But not on my Mom, she was very stylish & also lovely. But I bet I saw them in the Sears catalog - remember those - they were the size of a phone book.
