New items at Factory but no petite offerings in dresses or length to know if it is even a doable length in regular. That's annoying, especially since the hem designs make it difficult to shorten.
ReplyDeleteI second the frustration on dresses and length information. I've been looking for a cute striped knit dress for summer and so far all of the factory offerings have been too short. (And I'm only 5'4") I'm looking at the new maxi striped dress and wondering about cutting if off. That way at least I get the length I want if the top fits.
Deleteat 5'5" all factory dresses are too short.
DeleteUpdate to the sale section this AM; spotted the favorite-fit university pants - I haven't seen this since... 2008/9?? Saw a few good popbacks but they got snatched before I could check out so now I'm less motivated to hit the button. Lack of rollout/interesting new items is really boring me.
ReplyDeletewhat time are the updates these days ?
DeleteSeems to be between 4 am Eastern and 830 am. I usually check while on the train to work.
DeleteYeah, I was going to say I haven't been this uninspired in what seems like years. I have a few items in my cart (if they're still there) but won't pull the trigger unless they're at the right price.
ReplyDeleteThere are nearly full size runs on blouses that have not been marked down in months, that were already offered half off those very prices. What gives?
ReplyDeleteSo after the annual velvet tee (and another in a different color to hold for next year when the entire WORLD will be skimping on fabric and seams), I bought and kept a green leather jacket - Saks Off 5th; Inès de la Fressange - 2 white cotton shirts, white denim Nehru jacket for summer, same in dark blue for spring. Waiting for a RL cashmere sweater that was so reduced I’m afraid it may be shopworn. No JC. Feels odd. I got some great buys in November, I’ll probably have to be buried in a green coat. Or in a handmade crochet lace blouse. Also got a Sherpa-lined hooded bathrobe from LLBean. Wish JCrew would have done one of those. Old JC, that is.
ReplyDeleteoops - and a wine tee. Cute is cute .
DeleteLovely purchases, fred! JC has become so uninspired and “fast fashion” that I have been compelled to look elsewhere. There is a big world of options out there - I’ve been thrilled w a few great buys and lovely things from RL, Uniqlo, LLBean, Everlane, and Sundance.
DeleteI’m sad about it but starting to get over you, J Crew.
cap-sleeve top in cotton-poplin : ordered in a tall and "classic" fit. they were identical in all measurments.. returned to store and emailed CS. maybe they will refund my $12 shipping.
ReplyDeleteSome new markdowns today inclusive of the cardigan with Liberty trim and the elephant top and pants. Not tempted to buy as no % off. Will wait and see what next promo is. Like others I am looking elsewhere and really don’t need anything anyway.
ReplyDeleteJessF - agreed! I have three items in my basket, including the Drake horse rider popover that was marked down more, but without +% off I am not inspired to hit the button. Notable markdown if anyone's looking for it: the bow front pencil skirt was 99, now 65. That's a good price for that skirt even without any extra off!
